We recently celebrated a special event in Cape Town and the Western Cape. It started with a very enjoyable stay at the WM for 4 nights followed by a tour, ending back at the hotel for the final night. Our spacious and comfortable sea facing junior suite was ideal. In particular, we were delighted to receive a room gift of fruit and wine to mark our special occasion. The courtyard restaurant was perfect and the food delicious. All the staff we met were both professional and extremely friendly. Harveys bar was buzzing with mostly local clientele evenings and weekends. The hotel shuttle service was very popular with guests for V&A visits and transfers etc. This hotel is in a good location (also ideal for Citysightseeing bus tours!) and we would have no hesitation in recommending it as a good place to stay.

We stayed at Winchester Mansions for the first 4 nights of our trip through Africa. We had a 2 bedroom room that was perfect for a family of four. Location of the hotel is superb...easy access to everything in Cape Town. Putting green in the hallway outside our room was a favorite of the kids. The bar was perfect for a couple of drinks every night...just a very nice location. Also, the shuttle service to different restaurants was a nice extra. We highly recommend Winchester Mansions!

I've been staying at the Winchester Mansions in Cape Town for almost 20 years with my family and friends.

I've just returned from a 9 days visit and it's like coming back to my 2nd home. The Winchester is the most wonderful place to stay and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. From the excellent breakfast in the courtyard, geeting some rays by the pool, drinks on the balcony watching the sun set, to dining in Harveys restaurant. It's a wondeful life at the Winch and we count the days until our next visit.

We are a mature couple - we stayed at the Winchester Mansions for 3 weeks over the Christmas period. It was truly wonderful. The service levels are extremely high, the staff are caring and it made no difference that it was a busy period, they just "upped their game" and delivered under extreme pressure over the peak time. Management, reception, porters, staff in the restaurant, all the same. This caring made our holiday very memorable. We will be going again at the end of the year and have already booked. We cannot wait! The location is perfect.
