Cliff and Tabea Jacobs, the owners of Villa Belmonte not only have a passion for their hotel, but also for the comfort and well being of their guests, and it shows. One instantly knows on arrival that this is a special place.
Set in the exclusive suburb of Oranjezicht and within easy reach of Capetown`s myriad of attractions, this is a place to unwind and de-stress in peaceful surroundings.
A delightful garden and lovely pool area plus the verandah are tranquil places to relax, and take in the magnificent mountain and sea views in all directions. A sun worshippers paradise is to be found on the huge , private wraparound first floor balcony.
Rooms are classical in style to harmonise with the style of the hotel. All are slightly different and very comfortable with the full range of guest amenities.
The Italian inspired dining room or verandah are perfect settings for breakfast, lunch and to wine and dine in the evening. Food and the selection of wines are a joy to be experienced, especially if your stay coincides with a gourmet and wine evening. Cliff and Tabea know about food and their knowledge of wine is second to none.
As you would expect in such an enchanting hotel all the staff are very friendly and always ready to oblige in a professional manner, your peace and privacy are paramount. I cannot praise them enough.
Villa Belmonte has become my second home. I long for my return, and to to be in the magical and vibrant city of Capetown, in the truly beautiful country that is South Africa.
I feel I am qualified to comment, I have been a regular visitor since 1977!
