We arrived at 8am, and after being handed a welcome drink were about to have our room - a full 6 hours before check-in time at no extra cost. The staff were great - polite & helpful, without being too "in your face". The breakfast was one of our favourites in all the places we stayed in South Africa - fresh fruit, juices, pastries, muffins and a special every day. We had a problem with our AC not working and our tap water being a little rusty - both of these problems were fixed very promptly.

The rooms & spaces in the hotel are gorgeous, they have character and feel old yet modern at the same time?! The location of the hotel is perfect for the city centre, and there's free parking if you hire a car.

Great value hotel - so pleasantly surprised for the very decent rate. Definitely would stay again!

OK, where do i start...? I stopped here on 6th and 20th Jan, whilst passing through Cape Town on business.... I wont stop anywhere else in CT ever again.... this hotel gets 'it'!

The welcome was charming, the desk staff, the porters.. all very friendly and professional, the rooms are stunning, full of character and individual charm, the bed - incredibly comfy! - the bathroom has to rate as one of the best i've ever seen in any hotel...

The breakfast was great, very tasty, well presented, the hotel has a lovley courtyard with bar and restaurant, we ate there, the food was fantastic....

I realise i sound like i'm gushing a bit here, but i really was taken by this hotel, on my next Capetown trip i know i'll be stopping here.

I stop in hotels a lot for business (about 80 - 100 nights a year) ranging from top of the range to the godamn awful when there's no-where else. I try to give honest reviews - good or bad, sticking to the points.

If you are looking to stay in the centre of Cape Town, you can't go wrong with the Cape Heritage. Lovely rooms and bathrooms, great restaurants very close by, and a fantastic breakfast every morning. What more could you need?!

We stayed in Cape Heritage Hotel in October 2011 for 2 nights. It is simply beautiful. Set in a restored city block constructed from stone, this beautiful boutique hotel is stunningly and lovingly appointed both in rooms and common areas.

The standard of room appointments and personal service is genuinely 5 star, much better than we experienced at the Cape Town Hilton for example. We thoroughly recommend this hotel to you. Location A1 for walking through older parts of the city, to the Company Gardens and Parliament, as well as a number of nice restaurants. The waterfront restaurants are a 6-7 minute taxi ride away (cost about 35 ZAR, for us foreigners anyway).

Breakfast in the sun-filled stone courtyard admiring the growing vines was a great start to the day, and the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
