“Great locationfor short stay in Cape Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the standard 2 bedroom apartments in De Waterkant Village. The apartment was in a great location with a roof terrace and uninterrupted views of Table Mountain.
The bedrooms in the apartment were a good size with one having an en suite and the other a bath in the room and seperate toilet, however i was a little dissappointed with the living space. The kitchen was adequate for 4 nights, but there was a small table and one small sofa to accomodate 4 adults, which was a tight squeeze. I know when you are in Cape Town you generally dont spend much time in the apartment, but another room, or sofa in the room would have been nice, and maybe a small tv or radio in the living area would have been nice.
Also, one of the car guards knocked on the door asking for his payment as he was not there one morning when we left for the day. this was a bit concerning, especially for my parents who had not been to South Africa before. There was a gate on the front door which meant we generally felt secure, but watch out for car guards, and ensure your gate on the door is locked every night.

“Wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We had a wonderful stay at the De Waterkant. The rooms were well-appointed, and the location was excellent. We will stay here again during our next trip to the Mother City.

“Cape Town stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Fantastic location, beautifully appointed apartment with deck overlooking Cape Town and Table Mountain, will definitely go back. Good level of servicing, though we sometimes struggled to get clean towels - probably due to peak season demand but room for improvement nonetheless. All in all an amazing stay!!

“The Mother of 'em all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

As a Creative Director of a major Ad agency, coming to Cape Town for a shoot is a recurring event and finding that accommodation that takes you away from works during your off time is a major challenge in Cape Town. De Waterkant solves this problem and gives you more. The cottages are quite roomy, homely and the staff are good enough reasons to return again. Trust me, I have been to a few apartments in and outside of Cape Town but De Waterkant people beat them all.

“A night in Cape Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

We had a night in Cape Town last minute and booked 2 roomed accommadation for 4 people. We were delighted to be presented with a beautiful 2 bed terrace house complete with roof garden. Unfortunately builders next door were noisy early morning and the room was quite warm (no air con or roof fan) so sleep wasn't perfect. Would definitely stay again. lovely area and very convenient for central cape town.
Kitchen was very well stocked except for a corkscrew! But our friends had one so we coped.
Staff were helpful in booking a taxi and allowing us to check-in on line for our flights home.
