i have stayed at this hotel before purely because of price and location.
the hotel is comfortable and clean.
the staff are very warm and accomodating.
the rooms are comfortable and spacious.
the breakfast buffet is extensive and caters to most needs of travellers
the ambiance is pleasant and the venue clean.
i do think that the exterior could do with a facelift
overall the hotel is comfortable and clean and offers value for money

Room Tip: mountain facing rooms all rooms ending with no's 1 to 10

“Not Bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

The only advantage of this hotel is that it is near to the conventional center where we were exhibiting.

The hotel is old, very old room ...

the hotel is still living the mid 80's

“Nice rooms, standard food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2011

Some of the rooms have nice view to the Table Mountains, some - to the rear of the parking lot. Very good air condition, spacious rooms. The compressor of the A/C is located on the small terrace, making it useless. Dinner on 3 consecutive nights was identical - even the soup... Well located near the waterfront and convention center

“Absolutely Pathetic”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

The hotel is in no way to be considered as 4 star. The Facilities in the room were not even close to 3 star hotel leave alone a 4 star hotel. The rooms were too small and were not at all comfortable. After being out for the whole day we look forward to relaxing in our hotel room but this was hardly the case here. The toilets were divided into two parts which caused a lot of problems for us. The staff is no doubt very cooperative. The lifts were a big problem. We were on the tenth floor. It took forever for the lifts to come. The Beds were a lot smaller than the standard size.

“Great location near the waterfront, but basic facilities for a 4 star hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

person found this review helpful

I stayed at this hotel as part of a trip to the World Cup, so was obviously subject to the price hikes that happened during the tournament. The location was superb, with just a 5 minute walk to the busy Waterfront but also a 5 minute walk into central Cape Town and the cultural sights. A no frills business hotel that works for a couple of nights but not for a longer stay.
