For business in Cape Town in January 2012, I was adviced to stay in this Hotel. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are clean and service good. The position is fantastic, not for the view, but because you can easly and safely walk to the Waterfront in 5 minutes. I had the chance to have coprorate rate at €120, which is was very coinvenient for Cape Town.

Comfortable place to stay with good service and breakfast. Clean, with all amenities but a bit bland like most chain hotels catering to tour companies and business people.
Its located berween the Cape Town city center and the V&A waterfront, walking distance to both.
No complaints but not nothing memorable either.

My wife and I stayed at the City Lodge Waterfront for a weekend in Cape Town. Staff was friendly and w were welcomed with welcome drinks. The booking in process was fast and efficient.

The rooms were fairly small but clean. The bathrooms were fairly clean although not as clean as it could have been.

Choose a room at the back of the hotel as we did hear some noise from the traffic in the area in front of the hotel.

Safe parking with security is also provided.

The breakfast buffet was the best thing here, as well as the proximity to the waterfront, BUT I felt like I was still in the USA (muzak, etc.). Maybe perfect for corporates, but not what I was looking for in South Africa.
