The Cape Grace has set a new standard for us for hotels; their service was absolutely outstanding! The hotel itself is classy, and beautiful, the rooms stylish and well appointed. We were there for my 40th birthday and the management sent me chocolates and champagne, as well as a complimentary book on cape town! Breakfast is fanatastic, the car service is a classy touch and free wifi (I hate that high end hotels nickel and dime you on this!). Location is perfect! You can't go wrong with this choice. And Cape Town - what a city!!

It took us a while to realise what is so special about the Cape Grace. It has a tall reputation...but then we've stayed in other hotels that have had similar but not really fulfilled in every way. Our room was overlooking the marina...nice start! The location is perfect in the heart of the bustling V&A but with an actual working harbour stright outside the front entrance (not noisy though).
But its the service that is top notch. In fact you don't notice the service until you want something...and then there is always someone there. The attention to detail in the training to anticipate the guests needs has to be admired.....and its all delivered with genuine warmth and style...never in your face.
I had an unexpected urgent legal document to receive, read and scan. The concierge took care of everything with a minimum of fuss.
Amazing and we can't wait to return.

I travel quite often and have stayed at many luxury hotels so I am quite picky about hotels. Cape Grace has one of the most attentive managements I have ever experienced.

Upon our arrival, we were upgraded to a table mountain view room. On our second day, we received a bottle of complimentary champagne and some sweets to congratulate our marriage. On the third day, we received some massage oil/aromatherapy soap. The BMW car service was very convenient. The concierge was extremely helpful. They even packed some beach towels and iced water for us when we told them we were heading to Camps Bay.

Location of the hotel is great but the rooms are a little old.

We had stayed in Capetown before and vowed that if we came back we would stay at Cape Grace, we certainly weren't disappointed! The staff were fabulous,(thank you Mr Hoon) our friends had a mix up with their luggage and the brilliant staff did everything to sort this out even offering to take them back to the airport in the limo to pick it up. We had a hire car so the men went back whilst my friend and I took advantage of the excellent cocktail menu in the bar outside overlooking the marina, a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. The hotel is right in the heart of the V & A Waterfront and the view from the rooms either face Table Mountain or the busy waterfront. We loved looking out of the window at the comings and goings of the boats and the seals. The rooms are spacious and fabulously appointed and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The choice for breakfast is great and we also enjoyed a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant. For the five star plus service, the fabulous location and standard of cuisine we didn't think it was expensive and would recommend it to anyone
