It is rare to stay at a hotel where you have no complaints about service, rooms, etc. Taj Capetown is one of those experiences. The hotel rooms are very nicely furnished, quite grand. The hotel location is excellent, right in the Centre of Cape Town. The breakfast is great, plenty of options, including the Indian breakfast, for the more adventurous. We stayed here during peak season - around New Years Eve in 2011. The hotel staff made the stay absolutely unforgettable. At the time, we were desperately looking to rent a car, but couldn't find one in any of the rental agencies. Taj made it possible by calling their contacts, and found not one but two different options for rental. they organised the entire thing for us, and left letters in the room to give updates, while we were out sightseeing. When I had problems connecting to the internet via IT, they got someone to spend about half an hour walking me through the process of changing IP setting on the computer, etc.

Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. You can pick up the phone, call the concierge for anything and everything, and it will be done.
