“Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2010

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in October and it was like we died and had gone to heaven! From the beautiful room overlooking the garden and pool with Table mountain in the backround , to the very personalised service that the manager, Tessa gave us, to the service and breakfasts, it was all just magical. On our last night we sat upstairs in the lounge, sipping champagne, with a cheese board and salmon (all complimentary) listening to Diana Krall and watching the sun set behind Table mountain. We were the only ones in the hotel and we felt like we weren't even guests. Just divine!!! Wonderful place and wonderful staff. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary so memorable.

“Paradise.... Enjoy the good life here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

What can I say ... It was so beautiful. Although it lies behind Table Mountain, it doesn't feel enclosed, and the light on the TM changes constantly. Sometimes the "Tablecloth" hangs around it like a veil. We saw the full moon above it one morning, so beautiful.
The Bishopscourt itself: Bathroom as big as our living room, with wonderful toiletries - one doesn't want to leave the suite! Wonderful suite, beautifully furnished. Wonderful staff, the manager is called Sam, a truly diplomatic and professional and extremely helpful manager. We asked him about restaurants, and he sent us to some restaurants that were "out of this world". The lounge is beautiful and they serve afternoon tea there. A small, heated pool outside, some suites open directly onto the lawn and pool. There was a lady called Connie who served breakfast, and her colleague (can't remember the name, unfortunately) but they were so nice to us. I can only say: if you are blessed enough to be able to go here, do so, and just enjoy!!!!!! For instance, lie in the tub and look at the flowers outside and sip champagne!

“Very nice place”

Bishopscourt was a wonder place to stay. Beautiful inn with amazing views of tabletop mountain. Our room was lovely and the service was excellent. I would defiantly stay there again when visiting Capetown.

“Fabulous, comfortable & luxurious!!!”

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2009 and could not fault the Bishops Court! It was everything it was supposed to be intimate, comfortable, luxurious without the hype.
The hotel was just re-opening after renovation, so the rooms/furniture/decor were all pristine. Tessa & Sam were wonderful, even running out to get some DVD's for us to watch while we were out sightseeing, because it was raining.
We opted to dine in on our first night and the food was simply divine. Breakfast was equally good. The evening turn down service led to a wonderful surprise each night.
The hotel is in a lovely, quiet area, close to the Gardens, and close to good shopping malls. It had great views off the back deck (overlooking the tennis court & pool) of table mountain.
We also stayed at The Constantia & The Franschoek (both part of the Last Word group) and would not hesitate to book again.

“Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2010

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff of Bishops Court. So quiet, a real oasis of tranquility. Top marks for service, cleanliness, highly recommended for a real get away from it all rest, within easy reach of the main tourist attractions.
