“Expectations Exceeded”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Both the accommodation and the staff were first class with their attention to detail and standard of service being excellent. What a pleasure to stay in a Hotel that truly welcomes you as an individual guest and not to be seen as a faceless client and marketing opportunity.
The team really does deliver on all fronts, with all staff being helpful, informative and adopting an almost telepathic understanding of the amount of attention a guest requires.

“A true gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

We stayed 4 nights at this wonderful place and enjoyed everything about it. Rooms were divine: we were in #1 which was huge with a terrace with a great view of Table Mountain. The entire place is exquisitely decorated and there is this loungy relazed ambience. There is a pool in a pretty little garden (where there are two large tortoises!), again with stunning views of Table Mountain. Breakfasts were really fresh. The hospitality and service that Tess and her team provided were just superb. It felt like a home away from home. The fact that it is outside the city is not at all a problem - rather the opposite. Bishopscourt is a beautiful and calm area, and it offered nice (but hilly!) opportunities for running or taking a stroll. Going to the city is easy by own car or the transportation the staff can assist with (at cost). I can strongly recommend The Last Word Bishopscourt and I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and face the Mountain. #1 was huge and beautiful.

What a find - its name says it all! We felt so pampered and are totally in love with this fabulous place. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We arrived at about 10pm and found a wonderful cheeseboard, wine, flowers etc all ready to welcome us. They only provide B&B, but the breakfasts were stunning. We were offered free car transfers to anywhere within a 10 k radius which was lovely - lots of possible restaurants and also Kirstenbosch - which suited us fine. Free daily transfer to downtown Cape Town also possible. We're already planning our return!

Room Tip: Small boutique hotel - all 5 rooms face the lovely garden, with its infinity pool and have a view of...
