“Fantastic friendly service, very tasty breakfasts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012 via mobile

We spent 4 nights at O on Kloof at the start of our South African holiday. The hotel was one of the nicest places I have stayed in, with very personal service, beautiful breakfasts and lovely rooms. We started off our first night in one of the luxury rooms which we thought was really nice, but the suite we had for the other 3 nights was superb. With our private hot tub on the balcony overlooking the sea, it was difficult to drag ourselves out for dinner after a day sightseeing.

The staff were very helpful in helping us book restaurants and tours. With our daily breakfast of poached eggs and smoked salmon starting the day off perfectly.

I would recommend O on Kloof to anyone wanting a relaxing luxury hotel in Cape Town.

“Perfect base for honeymoon stay and cape tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

My new wife and I stayed here 28 November for three nights as first stop on our SA and Mauritius honeymoon.
What a great place 'O' is!
We arrived in Cape Town in the morning rush hour after night flight from Heathrow, and after a busy taxi drive across the city arrived post breakfast, welcomed with a glass of bubbly and wonderful blue skies and view of the Atlantic across rooftops. Bernie and the gorgeous Patricia were perfect hosts and after giving us a guided tour of the hotel (beautifully decorated and incredibly exclusive) armed us with maps and advice of the best things to see in the cape.
After a fab first day out and about exploring table mountain, camps bay and Clifton we returned to the hotel, this time welcomed by Martin and another young guy, both equally friendly. Incredibly, we were asked what kind of food we fancied hat evening and were then drawn a map of he best places to walk to nearby offering our choice, seafood. We plumped for a walk down into Seapoint not more than 1km away to a cheap and cheerful place called Ocean Baskets. Incredible three way calamari for a few pound. Perfect.
The following morning the two young ladies put on the most amazing breakfast for us, all fresh and wonderfully presented, prior to our day trip to cape of good hope, cape point and boulders beach with a night in the V&A Waterfront! At the end of that fun-packed day, the showers and sumptuous beds proved the perfect 'come home'
Our final day, again after an awesome breakfast, comprised wine tasting day in Stellenbosch, with wine tasting commencing at 9:45 ( well it was our honeymoon ) and a final evening gazing at the eye-popping suset at camps bay.
All in all our stay at O couldn't have been any better and the accommodation excelled our hopes. Thanks guys and maybe just maybe see you again one day.
Ade & Dawn x x

Room Tip: Guessing the one with the hot tub would be just the best, not the one we had unfortunately! :-(

“great start to our SA trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

we started our 15 days long SA trip here and glad to have done so! our room was next to the pool. very comfortable and clean. Everyday we found our bed and bathtub covered with flower petals :) Breakfast at the terrace was also enjoyable.. the managers were very friendly and they did their best to help us on some issues. the only criticism I can give would be the check-out process which was in efficient. however we were so pleased with our stay that this part could easily be ignored.

“They make sure you enjoy your stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

We tend to prefer small boutique hotels as you tend to get a better personalised service, from people who actually care. Every morning at breakfast, either Olaf, Patricija or Bernadette would inquire what our plans were, they gave recommendations, made bookings, organised taxis etc etc.

Every recommendation was spot on. Our only regret is that we didn't get more recommendations for the whole of our Garden Route tour as we left Cape Town for a few days in Stellenbosch before heading to Knysna.

I'm tempted to phone them for a restaurant in Knysna, as I know they would be thrilled to be asked.

Thank you all for a lovely time.

“Off the beaten path and a fantastic stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

O on Kloof was a perfect place to stay over the Christmas Holiday. We were visiting from the states and were treated so well there. We were upgraded as a surprise to a very nice room, which was very nice on the part of the hotel. Martin, Patricia and Bernadette were great!!! Martin really took care of us in the evenings, since we were running around every day and Patricia/Bernadette in the morning, since we left early for daily excursions. Our driver from and to the airport which O on Kloof arranged was really great as well. The fresh pastries and delicious bread along with the wonderful breakfast were greatly enjoyed. The room was extremely comfortable, nicely decorated and safe. We did not have a rental car and the staff always had a taxi for us anytime we needed one. The property is gorgeous and very well maintained.
