I stayed at Shandon Lodge for 2 nights with my partner. We were greeted by Jane and Tony and immediately made to feel welcome. Despite the fact that we arrived after the time they usually serve dinner, they went to the effort to make us a lovely meal and we shared a glass of wine with the family.

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious and the swimming pool and outside area is ideal for relaxing. The breakfast is excellent and substantial and the service provided by Jane and Tony is first class. We were due to visit Kruger National Park and they gave us some great tips and advice. They went out of their way to add value to our experience and even cooked a braii (bbq) for us on the second night of our stay.

Overall, I must recommend Shandon Lodge very highly. The facilities are excellent, the food is delicious, the value is exceptional and most importantly, Jane and Tony are terrific hosts.

Shandon Lodge was a lovely place to relax for a couple of days before going off to Kruger National Park (KNP) for 6 days. As we were coming back to Shandon Jane and Tony kindly lent us a picnic backpack with all the utensils you could need and a cold box! On Tony's advice we went off to The Crossing shops and stocked up with everything we needed for our adventure. When we arrived back at Shandon a Brai (BBQ) was waiting for us. Jane and Tony's hospitality was second to none with wonderful breakfasts too? Thank you both we are now planning our next visit....

“Tony and Jane offer unsurpassed hospitality and the facilities are maginifecent”

Be prepeared to want to stay there for longer. Jane and Tony offer 'home from home' comfort and cannot do enough for their guests. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back...for longer next year!

Tony and Jane are wonderful hosts. Friendly, accommodating and they go out of their way to make you feel special. It is a wonderful way to start your Kruger experience.

“Far away from home I found my second home”

Tony and Jane: Thanks for making your home my home during my time in Nelspruit!
I really enjoyed the warm atmosphere and felt like being in a guest family. The excellent food, the drinks and discussions at the bar - all in all your hospitality - made me feel being part of the family! I/we will definitely come back.
