The location is prime, just outside Hazyview and very close to the Kruger National Park, and the grounds, which are quite substantial, are kept in pristine condition. The lodges (self-catering this is NOT a hotel) offer lovely views of the golf course, the surrounding mountains and the Lowveld sky. The unit was kept clean (houskeeping every day) but if you consider this is a RCI Gold Crown resort, then I think there is room for improvement. The unit lacked the proper and sufficient equipment needed ( no bread board, not enough cutlery, the hair dryer didn't work) and no iron was supplied, which I think is fairly standard for self-catering Gold Crown resorts. The staff is helpful, in general, and there seems to be quite a few activities offered for everyone, but I do think they can still improve. (I found Sondela another Gold Crown resort to be better managed).
There are three pools scattered all over the grounds, walking trials, tennis courts, the lovely golf course and the very entertaining hippo hide. Each unit has a lovley braai area and a wonderful view to compliment it. We enjoyed our stay and I will recommend the resort, I will just suggest to management to tighten up a bit to ensure that Gold Crown stanadards are maintained.
