Thanks once again to the staff and Shangri-La for a lovely weekend. We had a l peasefull time and enjoyed the walks in the beautifull gardens. The breakfast was excellent and the staff always ready to assist with a warm smile.

As we pulled up to the majestic tree arch road leading to Shangri-La country hotel, where the beginning of our forever after would birth. As the hotel and it’s amazing scenery came into view it took our breath away, the only thought that our minds could comprehend at the time was “could it be…a piece of heaven in our midst?” , and Indeed our experience at Shangri-La country Hotel was to say the least heavenly. The staff were angelic in their hospitality and kindness, the rooms blissful and magnificent… I can truly say, Shangri-La is our very own corner of heaven.

The accommodation and ambience was excellent. We loved the gardens and the pool area.
When it came to our dinner - our happy moods turned sour very quickly.
We waited for more than an hour and a half for our food after we have ordered. During this time, we did not see a waiter and my husband had to go to the bar to order us some drinks. When the food finally arrived, my starter Calamari was ICE COLD and the so-called Tartare Sauce was Greek Salad Dressing! My Caeser Salad consisted of a few shredded lettuce leaves, (definitely not Romaine lettuce) cucumber slices, tomato and a small boiled egg. There was NO parmesan, NO anchovy fillets and definitely NO Caeser Salad dressing. My husband's Lamb Shank was so tough he could hardly cut it, and it had a funny smell and taste (almost like it was left in the sun to marinade.) We left the Dining Room, starving and ordered Toasted Sandwiches for dinner, which also took about an hour to get to our room. Overall Breakfast, was OK, but the yogurt was definitely sour and the y had run out of pastries, and croissants.

The hotel's location is perfect and the garden is beautiful,the atmosphere is great and inviting it is a perfect place to go visit when escaping the busy city lifestyle. The hotel staff was friendly and always willing to assist.
