My family and I stayed at the Berg-en-Dal rest camp at the start of our week in Kruger. We were honestly expecting it to be just a quick stop-over to break up our long car trip, but it ended up being a highlight of our time in the park. The self-catering chalet we stayed in was clean and comfortable, perfect for 3 adults traveling together. The braai area was a nice touch, and made for a delicious dinner. In addition to the good accomodation, we were pleasantly surprised by how much wildlife we saw around the camp--spotting 4 of the "Big 5" our first full day.

All-in-all a very good experience. If anyone is looking for a SANParks restcamp to stay at, I recommend Berg-en-Dal.

Berg and Dal main camp Kruger Park was overall a good experience, units were clean, and most utensils etc were present. The bird life was awesome and the pool most welcome. the sunset game drive was good and the bush walk was also a lovely experience, except for the cheeky guide, Raymond who clearly lacked any client service skills.

This camp is well located within the kruger park, and we saw 4 of the 5big ones nearby. The room-concept is good, as rooms have a kitchen and an outdoor bbq, but they could have been much cleaner. We had insects in the toilet, but maybe this happens normally as we were inside a nature park. Blankets were dirty and beds were not comfortable. There was also rancid food from previous guests as welcome gift!!!!Service was poor and hospitality was not there!they did not answer to our questions properly, did not offer any help nor recommendation. The restaurant's quality was quite low and far from attractive. There is a supermarket with everything, at very affordable prices.

Berg-en-dal was the best of the three camps we stayed in, the rooms were large and spacious. Outside was a large patio with all the utensils for a Braai. there were walks that you could go on and I would like to have spent more nights at this camp as the facilities were great.
