The grounds are nice and the thatch buildings and landscaped gardens are quite attractive, but its not a good venue for a working visitor. The conference facilities are adequate, but the major problem is the rooms - especially those on the ground floor. Huge windows and doors opening onto the adjacent pathway may seem attractive, but the reality is that there is no privacy if the curtains are open. Room lighting is terrible, so when the curtains are closed, the rooms are very dark and dingy. There is no desk provided. There is a dressing table that doubles as a working area, but its height and that of the chair provided mean that using a laptop is very uncomfortable. Room cleanliness was OK, but not spotless. Food is good and the restaurant staff were great - quite a contrast to the largely disinterested reception staff.

Stayed here for four nights in March during a business trip to South Africa.

The hotel is on a nice piece of landscaped gardens near the town of Centurion.

The leisure facilities in the hotel are quite limited. There was a small outside pool which I didn't use on account of the weather.

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly at all times.

The rooms were nice and comfortable, not luxurious and in a sort of motel style. Ate at the restaurant a few times which was very nice - no complaints whatsoever there.

There is very little to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so transport would be a good idea.

Overall, was satisfied with the hotel but if I was returning to the area, I might look into an alternative.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and decent enought service. The roolms are clean and comfortable but dark. Bathrooms are large, and clean, though the shower didn't drain very well. Restaurants are excellent and the staff very good - they have revamped one and added a bar, but still lacks an area to have a drink/coffee and relax. Housekeeping staff need to be told what the "do not disturb" sign on the door means

Excellent food at Hemingways .Steak was superb and presentation of all courses was beautiful.Bathrooms in new building rooms 55-70( I think) were superb and the beds were comfy with lovely quality linens .
Staff were excellent and ran me up to the shopping mall after work.They had goods tips for personal safety and seemed very attentive.Grounds were pretty but was surprised that the place really could have been anywhere warm in the world.
All in all a very good place to stay but HUGE difference between old and new buildings.I know as I got them to move me and was so glad they did.
