I spent one night in this hotel while in transit from Malawi and had to wait for the connecting flight on the next day. I arranged a hotel pickup and eventually found the driver after calling the hotel to say I could not find him. The trip to the hotel was fast due to a new motorway that has been built for the world cup. On check in, i requested an airport transit for the next morning and assumed that this would be done. The room was just ok but the aircon did not seem to work well and the room was in need of some upgrading i felt. The next morning after breakfast i went to the desk to check on the airport transfer only to be told that they had no record of it and did not know what the staff the previous night had done. After arguing the point they asked if i would take another taxi but that it might not be ready at the time i had asked for previously. They then asked me to pay for the taxi in cash but i had none so they wanted me to walk across to the local mall to get money from the ATM. I refused and they eventually gave me the cash after i had signed for it to the bill. When the taxi eventually arrived the driver told me that he was a police officer and driving the taxi part time. He also seemed to have to give some money to the hotel security before we were allowed to leave the hotel. I've no idea what the situation was there. Anyway, the only reason i stayed in this hotel was due to the fact that the ones nearer to the airport were full due to the world cup. I won't be staying in this hotel again.
