“Convenient, Clean and Good for Train Buffs”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

My wife and I last stayed at a Travelodge in Grants, New Mexico during a cross country move. We picked Travelodge again because the prior one was comfortable and reasonably priced. This one was basically the same experience. The room was clean and came equipped with a microwave oven and medium small fridge. It was close to the interstate and Burlington Northern-Santa Fe tracks so it was a bit noisy but great for train buffs like myself. I had never imagined that there would be so many intermodal freight trains traveling past; much like having their own interstate. The continental breakfast was a bit meager but free.

“Great value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

The room was one of the cheapest in town. It was large and clean. I was especially impressed with the fluffy pillows. The front desk staff was friendly. I'm normally not a fan of the typical continental breakfast, but they had some yummy mini muffins and clementines too! The room had a slight smell as if it had been smoked in before, but we opened the window for a little and it was fine. Nice and quiet too.

Stayed one nigjt on returning from the Grand Canyon.
Clean, tidy and excellent value just of the highway and a petrol station next door.

“nice folks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

The employees were very professional, helpful, and friendly. The clerk when I checked in told me about all the amenities available, such as laundry facilities, pool and jacuzzi, and breakfast. I was pleased to find a refrigerator, microwave, and safe for valuables in the room. The little sign stating that any toiletries I might have forgotten were available at the front desk was also much appreciated. I personally didn't need any of those things, but it was very nice to know they were there if I did.

“Good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

I found it hard finding a good hotel in Kingman.
A couple of years ago I stayed at the Super 8 which was ok but their reviews aren't so good so I wanted to look for another hotel.
The Best Western Wayfarer with very good reviews was $ 109,- a night so I decided to save some money and try the Travelodge. This was -thank you Tripadvisor- a good choice !
The older woman at the front desk was very nice and gave me a good feeling about the hotel. We got a room on the top floor close to the stairs.
They have a second building but that was a bit isolated.
The room was old but clean so we were satisfied. There was a safe in the room and there also was a hot tub but I didn't use it.
I really liked the breakfast because there was decent brown "italian" bread which you don't see very often in motels. I am happy I stayed here it was a good choice !
