The Best Western King's Inn is one of two Best Westerns situated across from one another on Andy Devine Avenue (Route 66), only about a block or two from the Interstate 40 interchange. I have stayed in both but personally prefer this one for a few reasons. The rooms here are nicely appointed and attractive. They have been remodeled in recent times, including the installation of modern and clean bathroom fixtures. The King's Inn has a dynamite breakfast buffet. The ladies do a great job of putting out a very nice breakfast spread, including hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, sausage links, french toast, pastries, cereals and milk, and on and on. You might easily pay $15 to $20 dollars at some local diners for this breakfast, but at the King's Inn, it is included with your room. Moreover, the management here is very supportive of the preservation of Route 66, and as a Route 66 enthusiast, I like to spend my money with folks who love the "Mother Road" as much as I do.
I most recently stayed here in December 2011 and once again found great value for my money at the Best Western King's Inn. My spacious guest room was very comfortable, and I slept well on the large bed. My room had a good refrigerator and microwave oven. In-room temperature and heating/cooling controls worked very well, as did the Wi-Fi service. Check-in and check-out were handled efficiently, as they always have been on my previous visits here. The staff on duty here are friendly and professional. There is a clean and functional laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers for your use. Ice and vending machines are in good working order.
From the hotel parking lot, it takes only 2-3 minutes to drive down Andy Devine Avenue to Stockton Hill Road, which is the other main business street in Kingman. Historic downtown Kingman is just a little further if you stay on Route 66. Book this hotel well in advance if you plan to attend the Route 66 Fun Run in early-May each year.
No matter when you visit, if you are passing though Kingman, Arizona for business or on holiday, I can recommend you stay here at the Best Western King's Inn, right on historic Route 66. Vacationing Asian and European Route 66 adventurers will find this hotel very welcoming.
Room Tip: JUst ensure you tell them if you want ground floor or second floor.
