Just outside of Johannesburg, I have spent many a day relaxing at the pool, in a Botanical setting. As a preacher who travels extensively, returning to Misty Hills is better, than home!
Eating at the Carnivour is my favorite African restaurant , all you caneat wild game,even crocodile! 10 minutes from Lions, Crocodile, and The Cradle on Mankind.

First hotel on our holiday and staff were very accomodating when we turned up early after an overnight flight. Room was simple but tastefully decorated. Brilliant breakfast and we also enjoyed the use of their facilities.

This is our third time - but we only stay here because we enjoy dining at 'The Carnivore', next door .
The rooms are 'African style' - stone, thatch and dark and we feel a bit depressing. Please,please can we have more light and at least a fan that works correctly.

I now think that we may have run our course with this hotel and we will now look elsewhere in JNB with lights.

Perfect for a quiet weekend away, very quaint with good facilities. Rooms ample and African style, spa on site, large swimming area, 2 restaurants. Not an awful lot to do really, but then these weekend get away places are meant to be relaxing ! Very pretty layout with water features and with a lovely outdoor bar/eating area. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good for conferences as well. Treat yourself !
