Enjoy the spacious lobby as you enter the hotel. It's the only Grand thing you're likely to experience here. Rooms were small but you could live with that. If only everything worked like it should in a hotel air travelers frequent. We had problems with the air conditioning in our room, as did our friends staying at a different wing of this hotel. Temperature was extremely hot and this resulted in a very unpleasant evening. Employees were uninterested in the problem and could not have been less helpful.
You might be able to live with some of this if the place would at least serve some decent food. We had the breakfast buffet included with our room rate and bought the dinner buffet. The food was extremely poorly prepared, largely tasteless and presented in an unappetizing manner. How a restaurant can "blow" items like fresh fruit and fried eggs is hard to understand but somehow the Grand managed.
Next time I'd take the Gautrain into the city. There's lots more to do and see here. Don't stay at the Grand.

We were horrified to read your comments about the Airport Grand Hotel and apologise most sincerely for all the problems you experienced.
We view this in a very serious light and will do everything necessary to improve our standards and service to our guests.
Although we cannot undo what has already been done, we do hope that you will one day, allow us the opportunity of restoring your faith in our hotel.
