The hotel is a motel type with suites, I stayed in a 2 bed off a living area. Infant cots were tired but beds were okay, we'll positioned for shopping which was the attraction for us
Travelled with 1 toddler and twins so a big thumbs up for even accepting the booking. Make sure you confirm booking before travel as we had a minor issue with transfers which was resolved wonderfully.

Great location.Very spacious rooms just love it, especially for the kids.The revamp is stunning.
Please make provision for Halaal food and toilet jugs for muslim client.
If possible have an iron and ironing board in the room.

After spending one week at the Mercure I would probably go someplace else next time...

When to Jo-burg for business and the hotel were on a good distance from both the office and the airport. The breakfast at the hotel was nice with a lot of choices (hot & cold).
Rooms were very big and looked nice (no TV in the bedroom was a downside)

The hotel did not have any restaurant were you could eat dinner witch was a problem as I did not have a car. Had to use the food-order-service the first two days. Day one was OK but day two nothing showed up after 3 phone calls...hade to go to sleep hungry.

The shopping mall near the hotel are probably ok to visit during the day but to go there and have dinner after dark did not feel safe and that is why I would stay at another hotel with a restaurant next time.

Very friendly staff and the wi-fi worked ok (extra cost)

Close enough to the airport and really close to a huge shopping mall which is great if you are staying over between flights. The rooms are spacious and clean with a separate living/dining and kitchen area. Johannesburg does not have the best reputation so it was nice to be able to walk across the road to have some dinner.
