Anyone planning to stay in Kayenta should understand that it is quite remote, and on the Navajo Reservation. While the hotel itself was nice, there were a few things not so nice:
1) Bed. We had a king bed and it was like a trampoline. It was too soft (and I like soft beds generally) and every move disturbed the other person because of the springs.
2) Breakfast. The "hot" breakfast was more "warmed" and dry. I think Hampton pioneered this idea in express hotels with hot breakfast included, but it wasn't all that appetizing. Sausages were run of the mill, eggs were dry, and pastries were barely thawed.
3) Other guests. There were some families with very small children who made much noise at both breakfast and dinner....and then were taking flash photos at the table at both events, driving most of the rest of us crazy. Staff did nothing to ask parents to have children stay at the table and to refrain from disturbing other guests with the flash.
I would consider staying here again as options are limited, but it's not the best experience I've had at a Hampton.
