Our stay at Hemingways can be regarded as nothing less than exceptional. In every respect this hotel cannot be faulted and our stay in East London was made very memorable as a result of Hemingways. The staff was fantastic and couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. Breakfasts were a daily treat and were outstanding quality and value for money. We enjoyed being on the doorstep of Hemingways Mall and even when not in the mood for shopping, put our feet up and basked in the tranquillity of the highly comfortable bedroom, which is almost surreal given the proximity to the bustling casino and shopping complex. With the exception of the swimming pool, there is limited activity for children but with the shopping centre on its doorstep, and given that this hotel is more likely to be geared to cater for business travellers, cannot be faulted for this. We travelled with enough activities to keep them entertained when they needed to be and were allowed to make use of the conference room on one occasion when we requested to do Sand Art with the kids. Every afternoon fruit juice, sherry, strawberries & cream and cheese & biscuits were laid out for guests to enjoy. We were sad to leave this hotel as it became our “home” and our one daughter asked if we could stay there forever!! Hemingways had commenced extensions at the time that we were there and we look forward to returning on future visits to the Eastern Cape to see and enjoy the finished product. An all round super experience, from the friendly staff to the excellent restaurant. The seafood, squid and lobster especially, was as good as anything we found on the waterfront in Cape Town.

Clean and comfortable and very handy for business. Attached to the mall and casino so handy for just wandering around int he evening. Nothing fancy or outstanding to mention about the hotel but good vaklue for money and recommended for business travellers to East London.
