A group of us girls stayed at the Grand in Jerome for a 40th birthday party (did a little wine tasting out Page Springs which was also very cool!). When I booked the Grand Suite online, I had no idea, just what I read, so I am sharing a few photos so other can see what the room looks like. For the price, divided among 4-5 people, it is a good value (especially when compared to the cost of a single room). The views are outstanding and the kitchen had glasses (for our wine!) and coffee/cups and cream for the next morning. Everything has been updated, clean...bathrooms were nice, towels were soft and the beds were comfy with fluffy pillows. There are two large bedrooms, two full baths, a dining room, kitchen, living room and a media room with a tv and big theater-styled chairs. The hotel only wants 5 people to check into this room, however, it could easily accommodate more with the room (for air mattresses) and the sofas. BUT again, they only want 5 guests so use your discretion with that information.
We ate at the Asylum Restaurant at the hotel which I thought was a bit pricey but the food was really good, good service and we sat on the patio so we got to enjoy the awesome views over dinner. I LOVE Jerome...always have a great time when I visit...definitely want to check out the...A group of us girls stayed at the Grand in Jerome for a 40th birthday party (did a little wine tasting out Page Springs which was also very cool!). When we arrived, I had previously heard (not sure where) that the "Grand Suite" was the doctors headquarters back when this was an actual operational hospital. I was quickly corrected by the staff...the Grand Suite was the operating room and child-birthing center. There are plenty of rooms in the Grand that have reported ghost sites or experiences...fortunately for us, we were excited to stay in a haunted hotel!
One of the girls that stayed on a roll-away bed in the media area felt like someone was sitting behind her on the theater chairs/sofa...she felt a draft of air like someone walking past the bed and sounds of a shower curtain opening. We also heard a creepy voice laughing at us. She was around the corner from me, so I thought it was her and she thought it was me...a very distinct laugh that was NOT either of us...and it was loud and clear as day. Although we didn't see anything and none of us caught anything in photos, we definitely felt like there was something going on in the room. There are plenty of other stories online about this hotel and I believe its been featured on some ghost TV shows. If you are planning to visit Jerome, the Grand is a great choice...and the Grand Suite is awesome. I would definitely stay there again :)More
