How can you not want to stay here? If you are in the area and there are rooms available...take it! They are right on the old Route 66 and freight train line is right behind the motel. I did not hear the train...but I did feel the rumble as it lulled me to sleep. The Teepees are made out of concrete and have air conditioning and heat. There is a small bathroom with a tiny sink and toilet and in the corner a full size shower. Yes, they now have complimentary toiletries.
I found the beds very comfortable, and we had a great night sleep!

This was so much fun! The wigwams look amazing, they have been very well maintained and each one has a vintage car parked outside, which adds to the whole route 66 experience. People who were not staying there were coming over to take pictures and someone even asked to look inside our wigwam.
The lady on reception when we arrived was really friendly.
The wigwam was bigger on the inside than you think ( it's not a real wigwam but a solid building) and nicely furnished for that retro feel. Bed was comfy and it had a much nicer ambience than some of the motels we stayed in. It had no wifi, but somehow that didn't really matter. It was really good value and I thoroughly recommend it.

I had read about this place, so wanted to stay here for a night. It is quite old and I doubt it has changed much in the last 50+ years, but it was a fun experience. The wigwam was warm and the beds comfortable. The tv was quite old and didn't have many good channels, but we'd been driving for a long time, so ended up falling straight to sleep. The railway line does run very close to the motel and I woke up a few times in the night to the trains rumbling by. The shower is good, but at a height for people who are about 4 foot tall! We arrived quite late and there isn't much to do in Holbrook. We found a Mexican place that was open until 10, but most other places seemed to be closed by 9! Once we had eaten the place closed and we couldn't find anywhere for a beer or two.I'd definitely recommend it to someone looking for a motel with a difference and I'm glad I stayed.

While traveling on spring break, we happened through Holbrook, Arizona. After a stop at the Visitor's Center in town (which was a great experience in itself), discovered the Wigwam Hotel which is on the National Registry. I knew I just had to stay in one of them. The price was great; the room was just right for a night's stay - old but clean. I loved the old cars parked in front of each one. The only thing missing was a coffee pot but we found a great breakfast place down the road in Winslow, AZ...which is another story about out wonderful spring break out west.

Stayed here for 1 night on a Route 66 trip with my father. Definitely needed to experience it! It was hilarious to see a large lot full of concrete tepees appear out of the rather unassuming surroundings. Noticed that there is a train track running very close behind the property, but those tepees are built like mini bomb shelters! The beds were comfortable and I couldn't really hear the train roll through, making it a very good night's sleep after a long day's drive. Management was friendly, and they even have a small "museum" in a room behind the office. A supermarket is located across the road, which was very convenient for procuring nighttime provisions. We ate at a tasty Mexican restaurant right up the road, whose parking lot was connected to a fun rock shop to check out some fossils (just look for the ferocious dinosaurs out front)! The Wigwam is also a convenient jumping off point to visit the petrified forest and painted desert! Safe area, great photo opportunities, and an all around novel experience that I'm glad I got to do once!
