I want to start off this review with the fact that I grew up in the country and during a time when there were no electronics, playstations, computers, etc. We had one TV which had a 13 channel knob and a bunny ear antenna. We played out doors and entertained ourselves by running around, getting dirty and discovering nature. My expectations are very low and to me, as long as I have a dry room and a blanket and a bathroom, I'm content. If you are used to 5 star hotels and the thought of something being out of place or not having all the amenities concerns you, this might not be the right place for you to stay. Given that, for what the owners have done with the land and provided was very nice. The booking was straight forward. You cannot book online. You must call and make the reservation. It's kind of a prelude to the entire experience in general. There are a handful of lodges all on about an acre or two of land. Each lodge has a number and you drive into an inner circle. The outside of the lodge was nice. Of course everything was covered in snow. We arrived at about 6pm at night. The heater was already turned on which was nice to walk into. We originally booked the lodge to split with another couple but they had to bail out last minute. We decided to still keep the reservation. The rooms are standard size. For this particular lodge (#6) the second bedroom was definitely smaller than the master bedroom. We did have one issue with the toilet paper as it looked like it had got wet and a little mildew set in. We did not bring it up to management as we had brought some just in case (we live driving distance to here) and I didn't feel like calling and having someone come over. The inside of the lodge was clean and cozy. The fireplace was a nice addition. I was hoping for a wood burning fireplace as this one was gas but it was a fireplace nonetheless. The lodge has a stove, microwave, pots/pans, utensils, plates, bowls etc for you to use. There is dishwashing soap as well as a dishwasher. There is a refrigerator as well. The sink in the main bedroom had something wrong with the faucet as it sprayed a little sideways. We just put a washcloth in the front ledge of the sink and we were fine. Outside, during the day, the view was very nice. Snow covered the entire area. There were nice big trees and the area in general was very peaceful. As a warning, there is no telephone or television in the house. Make sure you bring your cell phone. Mine had very bad coverage in the area (I have Verizon Wireless) and to make a call to the resort staff, I actually had to drive down the way to the 373 Lodge Restaurant and use their phone...was kind of disappointed with that but the restaurant made out as we decided to stay and eat. Good place to eat in the area by the way. Overall, we stayed here as the other places were booked up. You really don't have much choice in terms of where to stay but if all other places were booked up, i would stay here again as long as you know what to expect when you get there. Hope this review helps others. Enjoy
