“Great Value with Excellent Access to Sedona!”

As a Platinum Choice Hotels customer we travel and stay at this type of property quite a bit. Without decent hotels like this at a modest price, it would be difficult for us to travel so much. When I priced this versus what I could find in Sedona this seemed like a good value. We booked two rooms and stayed here two nights. Everything was as reasonable I as I would expect at this class of property. Breakfast was nice, rooms were clean and internet access was included in the room cost. Since internet equipment and service is so cheap these days, I disdain places which are priced high and tack on an additional fee for internet access. The place was only 20 minutes from Sedona and slightly off the beaten path but with excellent access to Jerome and Clarkdale for our Verde Canyon Railroad ride. Cottonwood is a nice historic city to explore and we were able to get to old town for lunch easily. It has good access to the Montezuma Castle and the Tuzigoot National Monument. We prefer to stay on the upper floors, thus lack of an elevator (which is clearly mentioned on their web-site was a minor issue. However we were aware of it when we booked and we were able to park next to the stairs. Overall it was a great location to explore everything at a very reasonable price. As long as the quality and service stayed the same, we would stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: If you like upper floor rooms you have to remember that the place does not have an elevator.

“Great location for an affordable tour of the area”

Everything was clean and convenient. Just what I expected. Its a Quality Inn, not the Ritz.

“Worst owner and manager I have ever encountered”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

I was one of the chaperones on a youth retreat to this place. The location is nice because it is close to Sedona and the price to begin with was good. While staying here, the hotel rooms were not the cleanest. We used the conference room here, and prior to our use it was not cleaned up for us. My wife had to walk through the kitchen to get some things and she told me that it was a disaster. She described it as "filthy". So I would plan on not eating there. They provided a meager continental breakfast (carbs and sugar).

The worst part of it all was the charges our group incurred. Our group alone accrued $1500 in charges!!!! There were other groups that we meet there too and they had their own separate charges! Now, we did have some legit charges i.e.. a broken bed $150, bent chair $40, and maybe a couple of minor charges. The Ridiculous Charges: $200 to use a room that used to be bar for less than a hour. Time or amount was never stated prior to use. They said we could use it for free. It was never written down into our contract at all. $45 for a pair of scissors and and extension cord we accidentally took and then returned. We ended up keeping them because they "already bought" new ones 2 days later. $50 Re-hanging picture fee. We wanted to not damage their pictures because of our use of the walls so we took them down and actually did re-hang them but I guess not to their liking. I don't remember how much the "excessive trash fee" was but isn't the hotel suppose to take care of that? They never bothered to take the trash out daily so there was an accumulation of trash but never not in a trash can. They said we should have taken the trash out for them because we could have easily of seen the dumpsters.

To sum it up this establishment does not live up to it's name, Quality Inn.

As anyone will know by reading this, the "Retreat" was a disaster! And, extra charges will show how unruly/unchaperoned these kids were to incur such charges. You didn't tell the whole truth here--you tried to return an extension cord that was not the hotels in the place of the one you took (which was commercial grade). Breaking a bedframe gives readers another hint. 14 out of 17 rooms rented had extensive cleaning requirements to include carpet cleaning (for a 2-day stay!!!). Yes, you rented the hall--which does not give you full reign to do whatever you like to the room. Recommend the Church add teaching kids to respect others' property and perhaps a leadership course for the chaperones on how to chaperone--and lead. You failed to mention in your complaints that the Hotel waived over $900 in damages. And, that you used rooms unscheduled for 2 days--not 1/2 hour. Plus, no one should have been in any area of the hotel except the Hall. The kitchen, which is unused (no restaurant on site) was not part of the Hall rental.Charges incurred could have been for the loss of business, which was more than $200 for additional space rental. The Hotel gave the "Church" the best deal we could & we were repaid with abuse of the property, community, and loss of business. Unfortunately, this experience has caused the Hotel to relook hosting similar "retreat" groups in the future. We definitely do not want a repeat event.

“Sedona Arizona is a busy place”

Visited Sedona Arizona, wonderful town, great art galleries!
We ended up staying in near by Cottonwood , due to savings, and lack of vacancies.
Sedona and Our Hotel , In general are not real dog friendly places. be advised. Other than that nice trip
