“Our worst hotel experience ever!”

We ended up stranded at this hotel with our 4 kids after our car broke down on our way back to Canada from our month driving around and living in Baja Mexico. This place made me want to go back to Tijuana! This is our first negative review, EVER. The manager/owner was the rudest, most unhelpful, and dishonest person we've ever met in a public service job. We had called ahead and booked a room. Once we arrived we were told the room didn't exist and he had no place for us to stay but to leave we would have to pay a $35 cancellation fee. He had us by the throats because he already had our credit card #. He refused to let us use the phone to call a taxi or the wifi to for another hotel. We were stuck. We ended up staying and getting two rooms for our family of six. It cost us more than a suite at DisneyLand! The rooms are stripped down, only bare basics (except for basics like shampoo, clock, coffee etc), it was nasty and the beds were OLD and cast offs from other hotels. I feel like I was violated by springs all night. We were very glad to have our car fixed and get out of that place. Run far far away!

“Never again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

This was the worst place we have ever stayed. Not clean, stuff dirty stuff behind the bathroom door. Bed felt like we were sleeping on hard cardboard. Couldn't get the room dark; so it was like sleeping in daylight. No hot water!! Managers told us to let the water run, we were last room. 31 minutes and still no warm water. Told us we could change rooms, which we had already did once because WiFi didn't work. Then she said we could just shower in another room. She would bring us a key. Finally we needed to be somewhere, so when we were leaving my husband went to office asked for key. Man said get it when you return. When we returned he said hot water fixed, Next day we had cold shower.

“Rip-off”

I knew going to the dump was expensive, but let's just say if iI did in fact have to sleep in a real dump I would give it 5 stars hands down compared to this place. It was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in. I had to pay for two nights, and the second night I slept in my car. This place should be closed down. It should be a crime for them to charge the prices that they do. I was there during the Biker Run and paid 150.00 a night.

“ok place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2011

I recently spent two months in this motel along with 3-4 fellow workers here on a contract job. The management was helpful and reasonable on rates due to our extended stay. The rooms were clean and the equipment in them worked well as expected. I have in past years stayed in this establishment and would recommend it.

“Concrete mattresses, rude management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2010

Not even close to being worth the $55 I paid for the room, and if you have any complaints, management has no interest in resolving them. (A refund is completely out of the question ... even if you simply walked into the room and walked out.)

The carpet was dirty, the mattress was harder than a sidewalk, and when I explained that I don't sleep well on extra-firm mattresses and asked for my money back, they kept showing me more and more rooms containing mattresses with about the same rigid firmness. They even managed to insult me -- "I've never had this complaint. Maybe you just shouldn't go away from home."

I finally found a so-so mattress at a nearby hotel they also owned, but the next morning, about an hour before checkout, my bathroom ran out of toilet paper and I stepped into the hall to request another roll from the person who was cleaning the rooms. The same guy who'd shown me endless rooms the night before refused to replace the roll, saying, "You're checking out today anyway."

Never again! (And don't believe any management claim that "We're very sorry and we've since taken care of the problem." Only if they sold the hotel!)
