“Ditto to Bisbee Inn ghost-free-for us”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

Ditto...the reviewer did a very good job on the review. We stayed in room #23 (which listening to the Ghost tour that stopped on the street below, that it was room #13). A nice room, decorated in antiques, comfortable king bed, on the front corner. It stormed the first night, with high winds, and blowing shutters, so not a quiet night for sleeping. But we were there for the entertainment of what the hotel and area represented with the "ghost history" so was ok, made the sleep up the next night while listening to the band play below the street. The staff was friendly and the desk clerk was very accomodating as I had recently came from a flight trip and forgot to repack the color treated shampoo. The hotel provided liguid soap in the shower. We also enjoyed the mexican restaurant about a block down the street. Most everything was in walking distance. Guests could bring food to cook in the kitchen and the first morning, awoke to the smell of bacon cooking. Otherwise, you were welcome to cereals, cookies, and juice provided by hotel. We enjoyed the weekend.

“Bisbee Inn ghost free-for us!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

WE got a great deal thru Living Social offer, including a 2 night stay, beer and braut at the local Bisbee Brewery and a walking history/ghost tour. The hotel is indeed a time capsule with much history. The staff was friendly and informative, bed comfy and location close to most everything in Old Bisbee. If you stay on the weekend and your window faces the street, be prepared for the band noise from the Stock Exchange or St. Elmo's or just go down and join in the fun! Continental breakfast and frig for your goods if you want.

During our stay a group of paranormal fans were monitoring the hotel for activity with numerous cameras and recorders. Many stories of encounters have been shared by guests in the past, but we unfortunately had none. Apparently rooms 11, 12 and 23 have a history, including a gato (cat) ghost.

Enjoy Bisbee and it's charm by visiting the great shops, galleries and freak art about town. Must visits include the nearby Bisbee Bicycle Brothel, tasting/buying Seth's Old Bisbee Roasters fine coffee in Pedler's Alley or his shop and climbing the stairs all over town. Try the local brewery or give Dave Electric Dark beer a try-it's famously tasty. The Savory Joint just a 1/4 miles from downtown has the best deal for killer burgers and omelets. Roka's is famous for it's great Italian food.

“A chance to go back in time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

The Bisbee Inn was a quiet little time capsule for Monday night stay. Building looks and feels old in a good antique way. There is a nice little kitchen and parlor where we helped ourselves to tea and oatmeal cookies over a game of scrabble. Parking is a bit of a walk about a block away and noise from nearby bars might be distracting for some. The rooms are furnished in period furniture but the downside of that is beds are creaking, old spring things and there isn't any heating or cooling other than a fan on a dresser. This didn't bother us on a mild October day but would suck on a hot August day. Friendly staff and worth 80 bucks to feel like we were staying in 1920.

“Not to bad at all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011 via mobile

My wife and I bought a package deal with a ghost tour and stayed @ the bisbee inn. I thought it looked great for being so old and everyone was super nice. U can bring ur own stuff and put it in the fridge downstair they have a tv room and a full kitchen. My only complaint was the bed kinda sucked but it's a really neat place.

“Stay in the Past”

During the past 40 years we have always stayed with friends in Bisbee, but this time my family of three chose Hotel La More/Bisbee Inn for one night on our visit for the annual Garden Tour. We shared a room with two double brass beds with good mattresses. We recommend it for the friendly staff, cleanliness, and well-appointed historically decorated rooms. We stayed in room #5 which is on the ground floor and is next door to the small lounge and spacious breakfast room.
The hotel is located in the middle of Old Bisbee so all the sights and shops are within walking distance. It was Friday night and, although the hotel’s 20 rooms were nearly full, it was quiet. However, St. Elmo’s Bar across the street had a decent live band playing and the sound echoed throughout the canyon, so if you don’t like loud music you might want to make sure you choose a room on the back side of the hotel and keep the windows closed. We opened ours to enjoy the cool breeze created by the open window and the open transom above the door. Noise from St. Elmo’s says “Bisbee” to me so I enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds. The fire alarm battery died in the middle of the night, making a high-pitched chirping noise, so we had to call the innkeeper, who promptly brought a tall ladder to disconnect it for the rest of the night, saying there were many more of them throughout the hotel.
Our daughter was happy to find that there was wi-fi in the hotel, but who needs that, or phones or TV when there is so much of interest right outside the door?
If you’ve never been to Bisbee you are in for a special treat and choosing Hotel La More/Bisbee Inn will provide comfort while allowing your senses to stay firmly in the past.
