“Connect Your Soul with Mother Earth!”

I live in Sarasota Florida and have been visiting the Gardens regularly nearly 10 years. The funky, quirky atmosphere is delightful. The transformation I have seen in these 10 years is nothing less than MAGIC! These enlightened women have transformed a funky, desert stopover into a place where you can reconnect with your soul. They have taken it a step further by by risking everything to install solar energy! If you love the Earth, you will love the Gardens!

“A good choice for Bisbee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This is a nice option if you are planning to visit the colorful town of Bisbee. My room was a comfortable size with a good queen bed, a sitting area, couch, a small bathroom (shower, not tub). The room also came with a coffee-maker, microwave, small fridge, pitcher of water and free wi-fi. The TV worked, although it was fairly small and definitely old. My room was very clean.

I had expected a bit more of a B&B feel and the place is cozy, but the rooms are stacked side-by-side with no common area to hang out in. The good news is that nobody is above the room making noise, but you can hear the folks next door. That said, the people who were there when I was were respectful and quiet.

I did not take the staff up on the offer of breakfast - it was an additional $15 charge - so I can't comment on that. It was too cold while I was there to sit outside, but I only saw a large private yard more than actual gardens. I had called before my arrival and someone went to my room and turned the heat on, so it was nice and warm when I arrived.

I would caution that this isn't easy walking distance into the main area of Bisbee - of course you could do it, but it would be more like a 25-30 minute walk, not a couple of minute stroll. Also, it's all downhill into town, so all uphill on the way back! It is definitely difficult to find in the dark as it sits in a residential area, but look for the big sign and what I think are giant solar cells at the front of the drive.

“Rustic friendly place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Do not expect chain-hotel amenities - but everything looks and feels like you are staying with good old friends. Rooms are clean, although somewhat small, beds are comfortable, linens of good quality, and everything is well maintained. This place is, actually, B&B, but they are flexible and won't force you to pay for the breakfast if you want to go out or cook it yourself. Rooms have mini-kitchens with dishes, microwaves and mini-fridges.
For me, the most important part was that it is dog-friendly. They do not charge extra for the dog, and even have a secure place for your pet to run unleashed.
The only reason I do not mark it as "excellent" is because it was hard to find - especially in the dark, as there are no lights in a street, and because parking is somewhat tight.
Another thing- it took a while for the room to get warm - but then it stayed warm for the night. There is a propane buster on a wall that can heat the room much quicker but it smells of gas, so you do not want this thing to run for longer then few minutes.
Place is nice and green, and conveniently located on Tombstone Canyon Rd that takes you to the old town Bisbee, not far from the galleries etc.
I will definitely consider staying there again.

Thank you for the wonderful and kind review. I just want to let our guests know that we do charge $5 per night for your pet. I guess we forgot to charge you. Our costs have definitely gone up on everything but are trying to keep them as low as possible. Thank you again!

“Good energy”

We stumbled upon this quaint little retreat while on an unplanned trip to Bisbee. After checking with many of the hotels "in town" we only found one or two others that were dog friendly. Someone in town recommended The Gardens to us, so we called and they had room. And yes, they were dog friendly! We would not have found this place without being told about it since it was a little further up the main drag than we had expected when looking for a hotel. However, this gave it the unique atmosphere that I came to love! Trinity, Maggie and Tara were all so welcoming and friendly, I felt like we were old friends. The room was very comfortable and clean. They offer massages, and were able to work me in (also unplanned) for a FABULOUS massage. Also, after we had left, we received a phone call from them saying that I had left some personal belongings in the room and offered to send them to me! Wow, what great service and great people...I can't wait to go back! Very peaceful area for a relaxing getaway.

“A gem of a place in this old mining town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

The garden's is like staying with old friends. Great subtly themed rooms that are tastefully decorated and have the old style feel to them, (think nicely worn wood floors). Excellent healthy breakfast option and beautiful tranquil grounds to relax in. Not a chain hotel so don't expect a front desk or bleach smelling sheets if that is what you are into. However if you like to relax a bit and take it easy in life this will suit you perfectly. Even has wifi. It is also close enough to town that you CAN walk in to explore the many sights and stairs of Bisbee. I stayed solo but it would be great for a group or family etc as it is off the road and has a beautiful spacious yard to roam in.

Room Tip: the room will choose you
