“A fine hotel in downtown Bisbee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

This is a very nice hotel if you are staying in Bisbee AZ. The staff is so nice, Linda even brought her own coffee maker from home (with coffee and filters!) because we were in one of the "cheaper" rooms and had no facility for making our morning coffee.
The rooms are quite small which is a drawback but the beds are nice and there is fee wifi in the room. If the weather is nice you can sit in the garden or on the patio.
The hotel is very close to downtown Bisbee, the excellent Screaming Banshee pizza restaurant and the High Desert Cafe, with its enormous selection of fresh baked cookies, muffins and pies are just a five minutes walk away.

“A great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2011

I have stayed a few times here with my son. We have always enjoyed the hospitality of the staff, and their personal attention. Bisbee is an old mining town, and the rooms at Jonquil only add to the charm of the town. We love it and will be back again!

“Quiet and Quaint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

My husband and I made a quick trip to Bisbee and chose the Jonquil because it wasn't "kitschy." (We've had our fill of "Old West themed" B & B's) This was a simple, comfortable, clean and quiet motel. The check-in process was painless, and the bed was comfy. The manager suggested Screaming Banshee Pizza for dinner. We were thrilled with that suggestion (and recommend that to anyone in Bisbee!) Due to the summer monsoon, it was a bit muggy during our visit, and we had trouble adjusting the AC to just the right temperature, but other than that, I am happy to recommend the Jonquil Motel!

“clean rooms -but... no heating and shower not working”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2011

beautifully quaint rooms, we were in number 6.
but we were told at check in the the heating was not working and a portable electric heater had been placed in the room + another one in the bathroom. These heaters did not manage to keep the room cosy at all. We were cold.
The following morning all could have been forgiven by a nice hot shower, but the water ran cold for 2 minutes and then stopped. No one in the office so we departed as we had plans to meet friends, and rang and left a message about the shower. To which we got a reply within the hour that they'd had a plumber look at it and there was nothing he could find wrong.
Freezing all night, no shower in the morning. Its lucky the staff are friendly. (and they have access to the quickest on call plumber???)

Had such a lovely night at the Jonquil. Innkeeper, Linda, was so friendly and informative. Rooms are just adorable! Had such a great night's rest on the amazing linens, too!
