“Very Charming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2011

We stayed in Suite 8 of the Canyon Rose Suites. Room was huge and full of light from the enormous windows with wood shutters and multiple skylights. Had a full sized kitchen with great concrete countertops and extra loft bedroom upstairs. We were just staying with our baby who slept in her pack 'n play, but could have comfortably fit a much larger family. There is a large lending library right inside the door and good wi-fi connection. Able to walk to most of Bisbee (except the Queen mine which we drove to only because it was across the highway). We parked in the lot just behind the Canyon Rose and were able to unpack the car and enter through a 2nd story entrance there and go right to our room. Only issue was managment is a little scarce, there's a phone in the lobby where you can leave a message we used to asked about a late check out time and never heard back, but the place is pretty small so we didn't really expect 24/7 service . I wasn't too excited about going to Bisbee and haven't seen any of the other hotels in the area to compare it to, but once we checked in I was sad we weren't staying longer to really relax and enjoy the place and maybe read a new book.

Room Tip: Suite 8 is huge!

“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2011

Although we wished we could have stayed longer, we had only one night in Bisbee. Wendy was helpful in making the reservation over the phone and reserved 2 small rooms/suites. We are happy that we stayed here considering the prices of other places were a bit more expensive. After seeing the very nice larger suites, we might have been better off taking a 2-bed suite than the 2 one-bed suites. It appears that all rooms are on the 2nd (top) floor; 1st (ground) floor is daytime commercial.

The rooms at Canyon Rose were very clean. Wifi worked well. Parking (free) was no problem as there is a public lot behind the hotel. It is centrally located so no need to drive around the town. There was no outside noise that some commented on at other places - although there were no major events the Sat. evening that we were there.

We would certainly stay at Canyon Rose again.

“Amazing - don't know what the others are complaining about!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2010

I called in about 4.5 hours prior to arriving in Bisbee - last minute weekend trip. Wendy was super helpful and told me about a special they were having on the suites, about 25 bucks cheaper than usual. I thanked her, reviewed my options, and decided to give it a shot. If you have read any of my other reviews, I am pretty particular, and wanted to try something new.

I called her back and made my reservation. She was sooo nice, and completely helpful. She gave me tons of heads up, like finding the parking (cause my GPS was totally wrong how to find this hotel), check in being at 7 so to get a move on, etc.

I got in to Bisbee with my boyfriend and we found an area to park. Little confusing cause the main entrance is sort of in an alley off Main street. We picked up the red phone and it didn't buzz her (I'm sure being the only manager isn't super awesome). I called her from my phone and she came right down and apologized that the red phone didn't buzz her. We checked in, signed papers, and she gave us recommendations on where to eat and showed us a map of where to find certain places.

We were then showed to our room. She walked us through everything, and even put up with my boyfriend's blatant humor, she made me laugh. She showed us where the extra pillows were, how to use our shower, heating and cooling, tv, kitchen with water already in the fridge, coffee and tea, and even popcorn on top of the microwave oven. It was so cool :)

She then gave us our keys and since the hotel only has 7 rooms (ours was across from hers by the back door, which was good cause we were in and out of the hotel til about 1AM), she showed us the main hotel key and the room key. I guess what I don't get is the complaints about the management in the other reviews - there is only one manager on site, and they practically live there...have a little understanding especially in a location as this, its not like there are multiple employees or answers to every problem...just sayin :)

In the morning when we checked out she didn't respond to the phone call in the lobby or my phone call from my cell, but I found out she was walking her dogs - I was only curious what to do for a proper checkout. I simply put my keys in my lock and left, cause I saw another room that had done so.

The ONLY turn off for me were the beds...the pillows were good but I'm an iffy sleeper...bed can't be too hard, too soft, etc. and it just wasn't my style. The boyfriend seemed to sleep just fine. I wouldn't go as far as to recommend they change it, but that's totally picking hairs. My stay was excellent, I am so pleased with it.

Thank you Wendy!

“Good Value and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2010

We stayed when the Ran Ramon Hotel was closed for painting. The hotel is very central and the rooms are clean. We would not hesitate to recomend this hotel.

“Loved our stay. It is a beautiful historical place to stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2009

The staff was great and very helpful. The suite/room was wonderful and nicely stocked with everything we need for a 3 night stay. The Inn is situated right in the heart of town and walking distance to everywhere. We did not get into our car until we were ready to come home. Highly recommend!!
