We stayed three nights at the Copper Queen in February 2012. The old hotel is long on charm and ambiance. Our room (the John Wayne Suite) was good size and the bed was comfortable. The window unit was easy to use and kept the temp just fine. I was worried about noise, but we could not hear the music in the bar downstairs. I suppose the biggest complaint is the hot water situation. At times, there was no hot water available. At the best, the shower would have to run for fifteen to twenty minutes before the water got hot enough to shower or shave. A bit of an inconvenience, but a terrible waste of water in a desert environment. We suffered a bit with indifferent & clueless front desk help, but I suppose that is inevitable in a small town. The retaurant downstairs (Angela's) serves a great breakfast, and the service there was fine. Overall, the hotel was quite serviceable, if a little bit pricey for the quality. Perhaps the water bill is reflected in the price. I have stayed other places in Bisbee before, mostly B&B's, and they have sometimes been less comfortable for a similar price. We stayed at the Summit Inn in Uniontown PA last year, a similar sort of hotel from the old days. CQ is a comparable, but with a much better restaurant. Parking is catch as catch can, but we were able to unload at the front door.
