Let's start with the rooms: about what you would expect from a Super 8. This hotel is quite clean and there were no cleanliness issues with my room, which is why I gave it 4 stars on that rating. However, both the beds were quite "broken-down" and they were visibly sagging. That along with the rock hard pillows led to less than optimal sleeping the 4 nights I spent here on business this week.
Room service was so-so. The room was cleaned every day, but two of the days they forgot to clean the coffee maker or replenish the coffee supply, one day they left the window to my room open and I had business equipment in there that might have been stolen (!), and one day they changed the radio station on my alarm clock which I didn't notice until the alarm went off the next morning. The station barely got good reception - this could have easily caused me to oversleep. Just not very responsible on the staff's part I think.
The room consists of about a 25 inch tube TV which got decent reception, about 60 cable channels (a nice selection for a small town) but no additional movie channels other than the "free" ones; a writing desk, wifi service, mini fridge, and microwave. There were no problems with the air conditioning. However, the wifi service was highly unpredictable - see below.
The continental breakfast in the morning consists of cereal, donuts, and juice. The donuts though were fresh, from a local place down the street - quite tasty!
There are two main reasons I'm dropping the overall rating of this hotel to only 2-stars: The hotel owners were very unfriendly people and just very rude at times. And the wifi service though it worked well at times seemed to crawl to a stop at peak usage times. And sometimes my computer froze up and I had to shut it down and then wait until a non-peak usage time to use the wifi. Another colleague reported the same issue, so I'm quite certain this is a problem with their wifi and not something unique to my laptop. I feel that for a hotel that is attempting to attract business customers, this is totally unacceptable. And this happened 3 of the 4 nights we stayed here. Very disappointed with the wifi service.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel based on the wifi issues and the unfriendly owners and poor service. There is a nice-looking Days Inn just down the street, perhaps we will take our business there next time.
