The staff here was great as were the fresh donuts. The room was clean, but needed updating - carpet worn and torn; light all the way around the door. All in all, not bad for a one night stay.

The carpet was filthy and needed stretched. The futon looked like it had bodily fluid stains on it ad well ss lots of hair and the non smoking room had burn holes in the chair.there were flies in the room and we had to place a towel at the bottom of the door to stop the wind whistling.
We stayed at the Benson Super 8 for 2 weeks in June, 2011, and I have never met a friendlier hotel staff. We stayed with our wiener dog, and the entire staff knew his name by the second day. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Keep in mind that this is a Super 8, so don't expect luxury accomadations or anything. The hotel is comfortable and my stay was much more pleasant than my stay the previous 2 weeks at the Ramada in Tucson. I highly recommend this hotel.
We used this hotel as a jumping off point for visits to Tombstone and Bisbee, AZ. Nothing fancy, but clean, quiet, and very friendly staff. Good continental breakfast, and as others have said, GREAT donuts in the am (and sometimes left out during the day if they weren't gone during breakfast hours). Being pet friendly allowed us a fun "road trip" from home with our almost one year old chihuahua. She loved it too, except for those dern gun fights in Tombstone :-)
Stayed for one night to see Tombstone while passing through to Tucson, AZ.
Basic motel style hotel except rooms are spacious. Blankets on bed could be longer for two people to share. Desk staff were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was basic with bread, cereal and fresh donuts.
For those who are unfamiliar with AZ, August is monsoon season and with it comes giant beetles and hundreds of tiny local beetle bugs. Given that it is a motel style hotel, rooms face the outside and some of the little bugs can find there way into the room. This is apparently common for the area so if this would bother you pay more for a multi level hotel where rooms are off indoor corridors. However, for the price and proximity to both Tombstone and Tucson, good value for one night.
