Booked this hotel while on holiday in Alaska. Had a very good rate but on checking in paid a little extra to have a room overlooking lake. Price included a substantial breakfast with "real cutlery" which is most unusal for America. Only negative is that the hotel isn't easy to find more signs are required on the main road.

This property is on the north side of Wasilla set back a bit from the highway leading towards Denali and Fairbanks and alongside scenic Lake Lucille. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the rooms are nice. FYI: There is no elevator at this property so if walking up/down a flight of stairs is an issue you should make sure the hotel reserves a ground floor room for you.

The free breakfast includes hot scrambled eggs and make-your-own waffles along with the standard cereal, toast, etc. There are a number of restaurants within a mile or two of the property. Probably the nicest hotel in the Mat-Su Valley, reserve early if you wan to stay there during the Alaska State Fair in nearby Palmer. If you like to sleep in you may be startled the first time you hear the Alaska Rail Road train blowing its whistle as it trundles through the area in the early morning, but that's just part of being in Alaska!

This is a beautiful hotel set back from the highway on a large parcel of land that borders the lovely Lake Lucille. The rooms are modern, clean and big, Try to get a room on the back end of the building for the stunning lake view. Ducks roam the property and float planes land on the lake throughout the day.

The prices are comparable with other hotels in nearby Anchorage, but this place is wort the drive. The staff is pleasant, there is an onsite restaurant that has been converted to a breakfast room for the morning continental breakfast that offers hot foods as well as cereal, fruit and juices.

There is an onsite bar, but it open only occasionally, so our group of 22 was disappointed when they returned from a day long excursion and couldn't get a drink.

I would highly recommend this hotel in Wasilla.

This was a last minute reservation as it poured one of the nights we had planned on camping. Due to the rain we did not get as far north as we had planned and decided to splurge for a hotel in the area. This place was better than we expected. Clean, comfortable rooms with wifi. Nice "Alaska" decor in the common areas. And a hearty continential breakfast. The torrential rain prevented us from really admiring Lake Lucille but it sure looked like it would be pretty. A nice stopover for us when driving north.
