I stayed here twice in one week in two separate rooms. Both rooms were well-appointed with kitchen facilities. The first room had a toaster which the second one was lacking. The upstairs laundry wasn't working properly and I had to wait to find someone to speak with regarding the problem, but money was then refunded promptly. On my second stay I used the downstairs laundry with no problems. My only complaint whatsoever was the second night I stayed. The people above me seemed to be moving furniture around, stomping up and down the stairs, having loud conversations and screeching children until after 2:00am ona late Sunday night/early monday Morning. I finally dug out my earplugs to get some sleep. The area where the hotel is located is in a developing area but currently is pretty quiet, near a lake with pubic access, surrounded by residences and not in easy walking distance to restaurants, however there are restaurants that deliver as well a great efficiency kitchen in the suite. I stopped for groceries and had several cost-saving meals by "eating in." All rooms have Vizio flat screen televisions with extended cable services. Closet space is abundant for extended stays. The beds are comfy and there was an extra blanket and pillows in the closet. The price/value couldn't be beat anywhere in the area.

The management was very friendly and helpful, whole building was nonsmoking. We must have had a newer carpet because we were able to walk around comfortably in our socks. The room was clean and roomy(compared to the other 2 places we stayed at) but we did find mice traps under the fridge as we were picking up toys on the day we checked out, that kinda gave me scary goosebumps, lol. I would stay again if the place were free of vermin. They were nonsmoking through the whole building, a plus

Won't stay there again. Rates are great but you get what you pay for. Carpets were so gross we wore shoes unless in bed. Fridge made noise all night and t.v. would turn off. Worst of all the staff is not in the building at night. It was a little worrisome to know there was no one there if there was a disturbance. Noisy place to stay too.

We have stayed at the Alaska Select Inn several times, and we have loved it every time. It is owned by a young couple with great customer service and a happy smile. The rooms are always clean and nothing is ever broken. You can take the management at their word. They do all they can to make your stay comfortable and affordable. The rates are typically about $65 per night, and it is in a nice neighborhood.
