My friend and I were to stay there for two nights and found the rooms to be dirty and dismally appointed. The TV didn't work, and the lone kid on staff couldn't do anything about it. He had contacted the owner, who didn't offer any alternative - so, no TV. We also found the sheets to be dirty, and had the kid call the owner - who insisted they were clean. I insisted they were not and my friend and I left as fast as we could - no way we were staying overnight. I had the charged taken off my credit card ASAP. Too bad there isn't a rating lower that "terrible" on this site.

I made my reservation by contacting the hotel directly and learned the hotel does not have a 24hr staff coverage. Since I was arriving late, they told me the security code to allow me to get in the building, and told me the room key would be under my room's welcome mat. I had some concerns - but everything worked - the security code was accurate, I got into the buillding, and the room key, which worked was under the mat. The room was large - a studio apartment, with complete kitchen, stove, sinks and cabinets. The room was clean, and the window curtains kept out about 99% of the midnight sun. I stayed at this hotel to avoid the high hotel costs in Anchorage - the 25 min drive north of the airport is a big cost savings. This is a motel, not a resort, not a full service hotel. Its a couple of blocks off the main road, but well worth the drive. I would stay again and recommend it to others, just don't expect anything other than a clean, large, room with a big flat screen tv.

There are door bells outside so when other drunk guests return and can't remember the door code they can ring your room to ask you to get the door... the walls are paper thin and the rooms are very loud. Between the refrigerator, road noise and hearing everything other guests are doing you would have to be in a coma to get any rest. the cigarett burn on the blankets were an added touch.

I stayed here twice in one week in two separate rooms. Both rooms were well-appointed with kitchen facilities. The first room had a toaster which the second one was lacking. The upstairs laundry wasn't working properly and I had to wait to find someone to speak with regarding the problem, but money was then refunded promptly. On my second stay I used the downstairs laundry with no problems. My only complaint whatsoever was the second night I stayed. The people above me seemed to be moving furniture around, stomping up and down the stairs, having loud conversations and screeching children until after 2:00am ona late Sunday night/early monday Morning. I finally dug out my earplugs to get some sleep. The area where the hotel is located is in a developing area but currently is pretty quiet, near a lake with pubic access, surrounded by residences and not in easy walking distance to restaurants, however there are restaurants that deliver as well a great efficiency kitchen in the suite. I stopped for groceries and had several cost-saving meals by "eating in." All rooms have Vizio flat screen televisions with extended cable services. Closet space is abundant for extended stays. The beds are comfy and there was an extra blanket and pillows in the closet. The price/value couldn't be beat anywhere in the area.
