If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay, this place IS NOT for you. I was there on business and stayed 4 nights. The walls are made of paper. Everynight I could hear conversations in the adjoining rooms. One night I was woken by a person in the next room snoring. Next time in Valdez, I will not be staying here.

The Alaska Randonneurs used the Mountain Sky as the Big Wild Ride 1200K randonnée ride headquarters. We had around 40 cyclists, ride admin, and volunteers staying there.

Mountain Sky totally accommodated us and our large crowd. They allowed several of us late check out at no charge or reduced rate. They let us use their conference room, cafe area, lobby, and parking lot for organization and logistics of the ride. We are very appreciative of their tolerance of us.

The rooms were adequate and clean - just right for our needs.

The staff at the front desk were cheerful, pleasant, courteous, and friendly.

In bad shape. 1st room heat was broken; 2nd room window literally fell out when it was opened; does not allow pets so guests leave them in cars outside to bark all night. Terrible 3 day stay.

We stayed for one night in a double queen bed room. I really liked the room's decor, the geometric pattern of dark brown and white. The mattress was very comfortable. The room was very clean except for the bed covers which had some spots on the white cloth that could not be washed out anymore. We were unlucky with our next-door neighbor as he snored very loudly during the entire night, driving us nuts. We could still hear him while wearing ear plugs. So we slept quite badly. I wouldn't say that this is the hotel's fault though as I don't think their walls were exceptionally thin; we were just very unlucky there.
