We stayed at the Brookside Inn this past June for two nights. The owners, Suzie and Chris, were wonderful! Going out of their way to be super friendly and helpful, even giving us directions to try and see the local Grizzly Bear. With very cute, clean rooms and lots of great advice, we loved our stay. Also, we are vegetarian so Suzie cooked us special breakfasts to accomodate our needs. Thanks so much you guys! Combined with our Columbia Glacier Kayaking tour, you helped make Valdez the highlight or our Alaska Vacation!

Very comfortable B&B, great breakfast, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good sized rooms with ensuite baths. Two of the choices are two room suites - great for families. We would definitely stay again.

Suzy is the mother of the owners and runs the place. She's wonderful and we enjoyed talking with her. She made a different breakfast special each morning and they were all delicious. The rooms were cute and everything was very clean. The living room was comfy--this is a renovated older home. If the weather had been better we could have sat outside. The home is just out side Valdez, but hard to see from the highway--just keep looking in to the woods on your right as you enter town until you see their blue house and sign. For some reason they have been unable to get the state to give them a tourist direction sign on the highway like other places.

We traveled to Alaska for our honeymoon and by the time we got to Valdez after driving nearly 800 miles around the huge state, we were pretty road-hard. So when we arrived, we were taken back at how lovely this Inn was! Our room was so comfortable and it was so quiet that we slept like babies. The owners were very friendly and great to talk with. The breakfast was good and the conversations were better with other guests. I would defiantely recommend this place to anyone while visiting Valdez!
