“nice view and location”

We stayed at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge for one night after an Alaskan cruise. The rooms are very basic but adequate and clean, but the resort area is lovely and the views are wonderful. The deck of the main lodge was the perfect place to have a drink while looking at Mt. McKinley, which unfortunately was not completely visible. The restaurant was pretty good. We didn't expect too much of the resort based upon reviews, but were pleasantly surprised.

One day the clouds lifted and we saw all of Mt. Mckinley for the whole day. Really makes the stay worth it.

“Rustic but very isolated!”

We were on a cruise tour with Princess. Our king bedroom was very plain, but it was clean. Housekeeping did not make up our bed while we were there. A note was left that he could not make up the bed because we left some papers on the bed. There was no coffee maker, no internet service in the rooms, and limited TV stations. We were in building 9 up on a hill. I requested a room close to the main lodge, because my husband has pulmonary issues. Since my request was not granted- the walk was hard on his lungs. There was a shutle-but we only were able to catch it once. (So don't count on catching that shuttle.) We were there 2 nights, and went to Talkeetna our 2nd day. We would have been bored if we had stayed on the campus. There was nothing to do, and the food was not that good. Mt.McKinley was behnd the clouds almost the whole time we were there. But when we were leaving, the cloud lifted. So we saw it for a few minutes before we loaded on the bus.

Room Tip: Call ahead of time if you want a king size bed. Otherwise they will put you in a room with 2 double...

Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Perfect if you want to be in the middle of nowhere. I only have my typical complaint of princess hotels of no micro/fridge/coffeemaker in the rooms. Would be nice to have Internet in the rooms but I don't know it it's possible being that remote

“On a Clear Day You Can See Mt McKinley (Almost)”

Spent two (2) nights here after a Princess Alaskan cruise. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The deck outside the main lodge afforded great views towards Mt McKinley. The entire property was nicely maintained.
Eat breakfast and dinners at the 20320 restaurant. Meals were of good quality and fairly priced, considering there is not many options in the vicinity of the property.
Every staff member we spoke with - housekeeper, bus drivers, waiters, front desk, reservations desk and gift shop personnel - were friendly and very helpful.
