May I just start by saying 'what a place'. Me and my newly wed wife came here on our honey moon and the best way to describe there hospitality to us was that we where treat like royalty. I cannot find one fault with this hotel or its staff it was truly an amazing experience.
The Marsa Alam airport we was in and out really quick, they don't like to keep you in the airport too long. We was 45 minutes from leaving the plane to arriving to the hotel.
On arrival to the hotel we was greeted with a glass of juice, a warm flannel, an envelope with all our room info and keys etc in it, bell boys to take our cases to our rooms and we was then given a small tour of the hotel before being shown our room.
Our room was cleaned everyday, there where no smells and the hotel as a whole was so hygienic.
The air conditioning in the room was spot on and kept the room nice and cool which was a real delight after spending most of the day out side at 45 degrees C.
The Food was phenomenal, so much variety from so many different cultures and if there was still nothing to your tastes then the chefs would happily whip something up for you with no arguments. The drinks where also fantastic, again such a variety, and all so tasty. The lager for me was just like European larger and the wine for my wife was just like a real nice branded wines and I need say any more about the cocktails.
The pools where amazing, nice and clean with plenty of sun loungers and was open for most of the day. Employees of the hotel would constantly walk around the area to make sure you had no problems and if you did they would correct them with no hesitation. Also they provide a towel service which means you get a ticket per person on arrival to the hotel and you take this to the towel guy next to the pool and he will give you a clean towel and you could then change that towel for a clean one as often as you like through the day then you got your ticket back.
The beach was no more than a stone throw away and what an amazing beach it was, lovely beach booths right along a cove of the beautiful Red Sea a true delight to have such a magnificent view from the comfort of your own resort.
The hotel is situated on a large complex about the size of a small village with 4 hotels on the complex. The complex has its own shops, entertainments, market place, shisha bars (which you have to try in Egypt), restaurants and free water park there is no need at all to leave the complex.
We went an a days excursion into the dessert to visit the Valley of the Camels and to experience a totally different culture to what you will experience on the complex. The people who live in the desert are truly remarkable people who have my up most respect by the way they live there lives in the desert.
Marsa Alam also has one of the best sunsets I have ever seen it is really beautiful and you can sit mesmerised either on your lounger or in the pool just watching the sun go down.
We never had any problems with bugs or mosquito's or even any type of animal it really was controlled.
To summarise our Honeymoon it was definitely a time to remember and we will definitely be returning, you will not be disappointed with this resort at all, we certainly wasn't.
