All in all, I liked the hotel very much. Rooms are nice and clean, service is at the level, food is good and even red wine is unexpectedly drinkable.
From other reviews I was afraid to overlap with any corporate event, and called the hotel in advance to check if they plan any for the dates of my stay. Turned out the nearest event was scheduled for mid December, so I confirmed the trip with no more hesitation.
The seawater lagoon turned out to be rather cold, shallow and smelling chlorine so nothing special. But the sea is great as always, saw a lot of fishes and even a turtle.
There's only one thing that was really irritating me - the bathroom door in the room. In fact it merely exists - it's a half door with big space above and at the bottom, so there's no sound protection whatsoever...not very good if someone gets a stomach problem. Maybe good for a mother and child, but not for the romantic couple.

the hotel is really nice & the food quality & staff are great but the animation team is not good the do nothing in the morning, & at night there is only disco but not alot of shows
the kids club was great my daughter enjoyed so much & their staff was friendly, my daughter always ask me to go there

I would not recommend this hotel (nor its sisterhotels Crowne Plaza Sahara Sands, Intercontinental Palace and Marina Plaza)to anybody because it is not properly managed.
The beautiful reef in front of the property is being destroyed by (mostly Russian or ex-soviet) tourists who do not know a thing about coral reefs. The hotel does not do anything about educating these (and other) guests. In a couple of years from now the reef will be dead but money-making on the short run seems to be more important than this.
The hotel thrives on big groups, visiting mostly tot attend congresses. As soon as a group arrives, the quantity and quality of the food gets very bad (we both got ill). Further on, all kinds of noisy activities are taking place (day and night) with absolutely no respect for individual guests. Complaining does not really help, they say they are very sorry and that's it. Nothing changes. And that is hotel-policy too. They do not care a bit about your experiences.
Not everything is bad: we had a lovely room which was very clean and comfy. Snorkeling the reef was super and the people working in the hotel are friendly.
But all in all I must say that this hotel does not live up tot the expectations. I work in the travel industry and have travelled extensively (I have visited more than 55 countries) so I think I am able to give a correct professional evaluation of this hotel. Sorry to say that I will never again visit this hotel.

Last year we went to this hotel before and it it was delicious. We decided in march this year to go back to this hotel, what a disappointment! The service was very fast deteriorated! Indeed you were not just order the drinks served, the rooms were not properly cleaned. The man on the swimmingbar was even rude. The disadvantage is that is a conference hotel. If you're lucky you'll find no major conferences during your stay.
If you're less lucky, you can simply take the 2000 conference guests. If you expect luxery you should definitely not go to this hotel. Unfortunately we decided not to return to this hotel. I hope that management realizes that something needs to change. The hotel is located on a beautiful beach and lagoon. It is such a same!
