This is the best hotel we have ever stayed! (I have been to Egypt 10 times) We came here to rest, to enjoy the food and the weather and the nice people. All our expectations were furfilled!
All staff is so friendly, really wanting us to have a great time. The food was amazing, there was also Indian food, tasting like the real Indian food. Lots of different fresh cooked food every day.The waiters having fun to do their work, we could tell by the smiles on their faces. The housekeeping also made so much effort to make our stay unforgettable. People working all over the place to keep the hotel clean and safe.
The beds are very comfortable, the shower is great, what else can I say? We go back next year with the children, also lots of things to do for them, like snorkling (items for rent at the beach), animation team, kids club, etc.
There were French, Dutch, Italian and Russian guests. No excesses that I have seen or heard off.
Please leave a tip as a sign of your appreciation for the staff, the wages in all hotels in Egypt are very low.
A hotel like this has a great management, taking care of their staff, and this is why the staff is taking care of the guests.

The Sahara Sands and the Sahara Oasis share a site at Port Ghalib with the Intercontinental, close to the Marina with its handful of shops, bars and a couple of restaurants. The Sands and the Oasis are either side of a shared main restaurant, bars and the pool areas, with the Oasis being family-orientated and the Sands quieter.
Our views echo those of other visitors who found the facilities excellent and the main restaurant was one of the best we have found at an all-inclusive resort in that the four main cuisine areas gave a complete meal experience rather than the jumble of ill-assorted dishes sometimes found in buffet restaurants.
The evening entertainment was sometimes rather crass but could easily be avoided by hanging out in one of the bar areas off the main Reception. The all-inclusive cocktails are great!!
Without exception the staff were cheerful and helpful. All in all, we had an excellent holiday and would gladly return.
For snorkellers the house reef was excellent and for the more adventurous there are good dive companies operating out of Port Ghalib - only a two minute drive away..

We were upgraded from Marina Lodge (which was regrettably closed) to the Crowne Plaza Sahara Sands in Sept 2011. The rooms were very spacious at the Crowne Plaza with extremely comfortable beds. The bathrooms were excellent with great hot showers, especially after a day's diving. The hotel is clean and well kept.

The restaurant had a great deal of variety, great food and very helpful staff. I like spicy food and the restaurant staff were great at getting me extra chilli sauce whenever I needed it. The breakfasts were excellent and very varied - try the muesli yoghurt mix - excellent! The one major disappointment was the pasta station - a huge disappointment - I have never taste pasta this bad. To top it the one and only time I tried the pasta, an Italian chef served me. Keep to the other food and certainly try the Eygptian food which never disappoints and is extremely tasty. You won't go hungry here.

All the staff were excellent, the hotel is very comfortable. We really did not use much of the other facilities though as we dived from Marina Lodge every day. We went to TGI Friday's for happy hour before heading back to the hotel. Great value and good service.

The hotel provided a great service and when you ask for a little extra they do go the extra mile.

After one night at Three Corners Fayrouz we changed to the Crown Plaza. Before deciding we took the taxi there and had the girl from Guest Relations showing us around. This was easy, after seeing the beautiful rooms and the very nice restaurant (Asian, International, Italian and Indian corners) we decided to go here and were never disappointed the ten days following!
Next to the above we also liked the mix of nationalities, German, Swiss, Russian, Italian, French, Dutch, etc, etc.
All in all a very beautiful hotel, at a very nice location (just a few minutes walk from Port Ghalib), with a great kitchen and great service.
