The spent five wonderful days in this beautiful and secluded property. We had booked a garden bungalow, but due to the availability we got a free upgrade to a beach bungalow. Our bungalow was right on the beach with a gorgeous view on the brilliant turquoise Bora Bora lagoon and Mount Otemanu. The bungalow was simply appointed and featured a queen size bed and two chairs. We didn’t care about the inside, as we spent most of the day sitting on our patio or laying on a sunlounger just in front of the sea. The sand of the beach is not really nice, white and fine like in the Caribbean or the Maldives, but it didn’t really matter to us. We enjoyed the stunning views and the awesome sunsets.
We never used the pool, because we preferred swimming in the warm lagoon, even though the first twenty-thirty meters from the beach until you are inside the water, the sand feels a little bit like mud. We also loved going on the other side of the Motu where there was a beach covered with coral pebbles (not sand) and the sea was rough (Pacific Ocean).
When we arrived at Eden Beach, there was another couple on the Motu, but they left the day after and the next 4 days we were the only guests and had the whole resort just for us. Vlad, the owner, was very kind and asked us every day at breakfast what we would like to have for lunch and dinner. The food was delicious and we loved the poisson cru. We had romantic dinners sitting right on the edge of the water and when my boyfriend had his birthday he prepared a special dessert.
Vlad took us by boat to a special place to snorkel. We didn’t see many fishes, but the water was crystal clear and it was wonderful to swim. The transfer by boat to the airport was also perfect. We just got at the airport in time before the big rain storm.
The high price paid was well worth the experience. We had 5 days in paradise!
