I stay at this motel for business every 8 weeks and the hosts are always warm and welcoming.

Rooms are modern and spacious and most have spa baths. Very well priced and only minutes from downtown Timaru.

I have stayed in many of their rooms and they are all of very good quality and ammenities. Breakfasts are available and at a very reasonable price and restaurants in town not far away.

I would happily stay here for a weekend and have recommended to friends and business colleagues

Overnight stay before heading back to Christchurch to fly home.Room upstairs was huge and very comfortable.
Friendly greeting on arrival with hints on restaurants in town......shops and other points of interest.

Avenue Lodge Timaru
This lodge located about 2 minutes drive from downtown and it is very close to the big supermarket - New World.
This self contained unit is very modern and we really love the fact they have the one faucet sink. 
The unit is huge with a set of dining table and chairs, flat screen TV, one king size bed and one single bed. The beds were clean and comfortable.
The clean bathroom consist of a spa bath and a walk in shower with enough amenities . We love the heater and the heated tower rack that made it easier for us in this winter month. 
Customer service for this property is ok, you know, hi at check in and bye at check out.
One negative point though - Internet service is not free. Although they equipped wifi services but it was not free for the guests. 

I stayed here for 5 nights on a business trip. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. The spa bath is a bit of luxury at the end of a long day. I would recommend this motel to couples on a weekend away or business travellers. It is very close to the town centre (approx 4 minutes drive) and away from the train tracks.
