This is our second stay with Trish and John and we were not disappointed. It was lovely, friendly welcoming hosts, a very loveable dog and a breakfast which made our daughter get up.

Immaculate, lots of attention to detail, great hosts, comfortable sitting room, super breakfast, excellent location (easy walking distance to CBD, yet no traffic noise), attractive house.

My wife and I stayed at Sefton Homestay for 1 night on 17 January 2011. It is a lovely old home close to the centre of Timaru. We stayed in " The Tartan Suite " - with a king sized bed and small bay area ( ideal for using my laptop ) . The private bathroom with separate shower was just across the hall. We would have preferred our own en-suite but the Blue Room had been pre-booked. We relied on the excellent reviews on tripadvisor at the time of making the booking on 4 December 2010 and we were pleased that we chose to stay at the Sefton Homestay despite the lack of en-suite facilities. Trish is a very good hostess - we did not meet John who was at work in Timaru during our stay. Our continental style breakfast was very good. Sefton Homestay is also great value.
