We have visited Dalyan itself many times and have stayed in various hotels and pensions...none can compare to Dalyan Garden Pension ...We have returned to the pension on many occasions as a couple ,with friends and also family and never ever been dissapionted...the welcome we have recieved is second to none, and nothing is too much trouble.wonderful food ..and great fun always .
The rooms are clean and very comfotable with a large walk in wardrobe ...great shower and plenty of hot water .
Ercan and Cathy are fantastic hosts and always ready to help with anything they can.and a boat trip arranged with Osman cannot be missed .
We always enjoy the walk into town to the many resaurants ..but equally enjoy getting a take away meal ,which Ercan will arrange for you ,and just sitting around the bar enjoying the company.
All in all a fantastic oasis ...cant wait untill our return once again this year !!!

“Just what we needed........”

We spent 1 week at the Dalyan Garden Pension and loved every minute of it.
Unfortunately, we were allocated the smallest, most basic room but we spent very little time in it so it was fine for us.
This holiday is exactly what you make of it - either full on adventure, or simply chilling by the pool.
Ercan is a truly brilliant host - nothing is too much trouble for him and he helped to make our stay really enjoyable.
As previous reviewers have stated, the boat trip is an absolute MUST - you'd be a fool to miss it. Captain Osman is a legend and the day we spent with him was my favourite by far!!!

I won't bang on about the noise from the nearby Mosque being overbearing - Turkey is after all a Muslim country, so you have to expect some small sacrifices.
We'll be going back again in the future I'm sure - but next time we'll go better prepared for walking, cycling & exploring!!!!
Thanks so much for a great holiday Ercan - we'll hopefully see you again soon.

Room Tip: Choose a double room if you can.

“Difficult to fault....but”

Overall for the price we paid this was excellent value for a weeks stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. All the good points have been mentioned lots of times before and it's difficult to argue with them.....but.....we found the rooms a touch too basic. The breakfasts could have been improved by adding a little more variety to the choice. We weren't expecting RHS Wisley standards but the gardens were in need of a little loving care. These are fairly minor negatives I know and probably very easy for the owners to take notice of and improve. Having said all that we would certainly stay there again - may even take a trowel and some secateurs.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor facing the pool.

“It's a 5* bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

We again booked because of great TA reviews - overall we were not disappointed.
1) the rooms are very basic. But clean and beds were made and towels changed each day.
2) the breakfast was the same each day, but you only had to ask and a big thank you to Yagmur for each morning she bought us tea before our breakfast. Ercan was very helpful and arranged a boat trip with Osman as many have said before - it was great. Perhaps because it was the end of season the garden was not looking its best and I felt that at this time of year when the sun is low there was not a lot of space to 'catch the last rays'. Also it was a shame that the lovely pool was not heated. We borrowed the bikes a couple of times and took a couple of taxis into town before dinner just as it was getting dark. We would recommend you take a torch if walking back after dark. Completely felt safe just pot holes in road. The wi-fi worked (FREE) and if you wanted you could catch up with emails and news. Overall a great town - lovely beaches enough to do for a week. Sorry we did not meet you Cathy.

“A relaxing and enjoyable place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We stayed here for a week of relaxation after a hectic week touring Istanbul and travelling around Turkey. Dalyan Garden Pension was the perfect choice, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Ercan is a great host, he is so friendly and welcoming while gving you the freedom and space to do what you want. Yagmur is delightful and always smiling whether serving the lovely breakfasts, servicing the rooms, or tidying around the pool and beautiful gardens.

Our room was spacious, uncluttered and spotlessly clean with a huge and really comfortable bed. There was also a walk in closet / dressing room which could be locked for added security and a large bathroom with a powerful shower. The garden bar was a sociable gathering place in the evenings with a good range of reasonably priced drinks, you could order hot or cold drinks at any time and food at lunch time. Most days we ate out in Dalyan where there is an excellent range of restaurants, some of them will pick you up and bring you back for free which Ercan can arrange. He also arranged delivery of takeaway meals a couple of evenings. The boat trip with Captain Osman is a must too!!

So, what did we enjoy most about our stay? There was great food, lovely walks by the river in Dalyan, exploring the area on the free bikes, Iztuzu Beach with its turtles, the vast ruins at Kaunos and of course the boat trip. Most of all though we just loved staying at such a relaxing place with a perfect host.
