The hotel was nice, staff not very helpful. We booked the apartment as the owner said there was enough room for a family of 4, including teenage boy and 20year old girl. When we got there there was one double bedroom and a pull out sofa bed in the lounge. they had put another put up bed along the side of that. there was no room to move. there was also only 1 air-con unit in the apartment, in the bedroom. the hotel is a fair distance from the town, not in walking distance at all. we left after 4days as it was not acceptable, and then received a solicitors letter informing us the owner was suing us for the remaining money!! Will never recommend this place to anyone

As owner of the Sedir Resort I would like to make the following points in relation to the only terrible review, which we have received:

1. The reviewer’s family (the family) made a reservation on 9 February 2010 to stay at the Sedir Resort from 30 July 2010 until 13 August 2010 and did not stay in May 2011.
2. Our website is informative and clearly describes the accommodation available to prospective guests. We also have photographs, which, we think, accurately portray the accommodation.
3.The family were in email contact with me from 9 February 2010 until 17 June 2010. I answered all of their questions openly and honestly. I am of the opinion that the family knew the style and size of accommodation they had reserved for their stay at Sedir Resort.
4. Sedir Resort is a 15minute walk to Dalyan; this can be confirmed on Google Maps.
5. The family stayed for 6 nights at Sedir Resort. The family breached their contract, with Sedir Resort, for a reason, which they have failed to mention in their review.
6. I take no pleasure in pursuing guests for debts, however on this occasion I was left with no option other than to seek payment in full. This family had booked an apartment in the middle of our high season. On receipt of a letter from my solicitor the family paid their debt in full.

My family and I, have owned and managed this small Resort Hotel since we built it in 2000. We take great pleasure in providing a relaxing vacation to all of our guests. I hope that the testimonials of the other Trip Advisor reviewers shall tempt potential guests to find out for themselves how good the Sedir Resort is. We look forward to providing you with a true Turkish welcome and holiday.

“first trip to Turkey and won't be our last”

We were recommended to this lovely family run apartments in Dalyan by friends who had stayed several times. It is 30min drive from Dalaman, taxi arranged by hotel. Quite expensive at £60 round trip but apparently petrol as expensive as in UK. Dont be put off by secluded road leading to Sedir but perfectly safe and leads to the apartments in their own well kept grounds/gardens/flowers surrounding by the beautiful scenery of the mountains. The pool is very large and well maintained by Barkin (son of owner) and enough sunbeds even if every apartment full to capacity. Lots of 'noodles' for floating and keeping children happy in the pool. Apartments fairly basic for very clean and they even found us a good lamp for reading in bed. All apartments have nice balconies where we had breakfast or somedays we ate by the pool. Complimentary transport into Dalyan about 1 mile away for boats or dolmus bus to beach. Food and drink is a little more expensive than in Dalyan but all freshly prepared and presented around the pool. Baki specialising some evenings cooking BBQ. Everyone is made to feel special and nothing is too much trouble. Because of exchange rates (Jun 2011) it made prices more expensive than we expected for Turkey but we have found out since that Dalyan because of its beautiful river, mountains and nearby to die for beach (no hotels whatsover) we found it was worth paying the little extra. Sedir being just far enough away to have peace and quiet in their grounds or by the pool.

We stay regularly at Sedir. We travel to other very beautiful countries but nothing compares to the hospitality at Sedir with it's stunning views and wonderful pool.. The food is the freshest in Dalyan as most vegetables come from their lovely garden.. If you like fish ask Baki, if its not truely fresh he wont purchase any... infact all the food served is of the highest quality.. the yogurt is made by Feliz and the butter from the local farm. This year they have chickens.. how fresh do you like your eggs? try them in their menemem it's the best..
The gardens are beautiful, at one end they have a lovely tree house blessed with a delicious breeze, it has Turkish style sofa beds, ideal for an after lunch nap.
Before you make any arrangements for trips take advantage of Baki's knowledge. he will go out of his way to make your stay in Dalyan one of your best Turkish experiences.
This July we (Sedir's guests) tried somthing different.. a trip to Fethiye fish market in the evening.. fab experience lovely food and we were serenaded by the gypsys they are excellent musicians ..Have a lovely holiday.. might see you in September......

Room Tip: Only 9 apartments...top 3 are larger, they have a Juliet style balcony..If you require anything ask...

“Perfect holiday for families with small children!”

We've just returned from Sedir and were very sad to leave indeed! Saying goodbye to the lovely Tarhan family was quite difficult as they were such a warm family, who engage with you when you want them to but give you lots of space too, making people feel very welcome and relaxed. Our boys (7 and 9) were delighted by the two teenage sons, who played with them and made them feel special. The place is beautiful, set with a backdrop of wonderful mountains and trees and a permanent blue sky. If you like wildlfe, you are very likely to spot the odd stork flying around, or bats coming home to roost, and interesting to see the turtles at the local beach, which, by the way is beautiful and untouched, with sufficient facilities to be able to stay all day.
It would be so easy to just stay around the pool all day and evening, (running up a huge bar bill, which we did!) although there are lots of trips to do, as well as other restaurants to visit in the town. There is plenty of opportunity to be sociable if you want to be, but also easy to keep to yourself as it is peaceful and uncrowded.
The boys want to go back next year and have declared it their favourite holiday ever!

Just got back from a week at the wonderful Sedir resort, which was recommended to us by some friends. We were two adults and a teenager and we had a truly wonderful time. As everyone else has already said, Baki and Feliz are so warm and welcoming, but underneath that lovely relaxed manner is a super run resort, where the rooms are spotless, the meals delicious and everything is in working order. Their two sons Ocun and Barkin were very much part of the hard working team and were forever playing football with the children, or working hard in the beautiful garden.

We enjoyed being outside the main town, especially having the spectacular views of the mountains and the quietness. A trip into town is a good 15 min walk or, a lift in on the family jeep can be quickly organised. We found it made a really nice contrast to the busyness of the town. There are plenty of trips to do independently in Dalyan ( from the many boat trips to white water rafting) or you can join in with the ones organised by Baki. We took the Sedir organised night cruise with barbecue and mud bath up to the lake. A wonderful time was had by all and we got to know the other guests. Like many others writing reviews here, we know we will be heading back.
